Asad's clarity of mind is reflected in this critique, and his response is quite perceptible "kudos Asad". It makes no difference whether you agree with his points of view or not; what matters is that you are clear and honest with yourself. Seeing things as black and white, with no shades of grey. This clarity is what Muslims lack today, and the same is true for major Muslim populous as well as Muslim nations, such as Pakistan and Turkey, both of which are unsure of what ethos to focus on. I mention these nations because they have a tendency to manipulate change for the betterment of the entire Muslim Ummah.
It's good what's happening here, everything happens for a reason and as a young generation of Pakistan we are doing nothing for revolution

Most diaspora afghans don’t like the Talibans coz they’ve broke their empire of exploiting the poor and taking millions of dollars from the us. We finally have a government that is aligned with our cultural and Islamic values. Pakistan needs a political and Islam reformation imo. Good podcast btw

Just a correction, saying that Hz Abu Bakr appointing Hz Umar as the caliph was a dictatorial decision is incorrect. Based on the historical understanding it was the demand of the Sahaba in the Shura Council that Hz Abu Bakr should decide on the next caliph when he was on his deathbed.
There are more details here of course but just to let you know.

I'll agree with you, abhi practically Kuch krna possible nhi to awam ki zehn saazi karni zaruri hai, masses ki alignment Sahi hogayi to practical work will not be needed. Agar Pakistani awam ka intellectual level barh jaye, Islam se raghbat bhi barh jaye to automatically government bhi behtr hogi, nizaam bhi ajayega, Islam ko acceptance masses se milaygii tbhi nizaam set hoga.
