If you ever feel like playing Quake again, I do recommend doing so via the Underdark Overbright official add-on (you can activate it from the main menu). The add-on is a custom campaign that offers 8 new user-made levels, but ALSO gives you access to all of the original main game chapters and levels and, crucially, the end level with Shub-Niggurath has been completely reworked, for a much more satisfying boss fight. Check it out 👍 it's quite cool!
