Wow ! I had no idea it was so simple to change the spring in a coil fork. I'm thinking not having a more complex and service hungry air fork might be a good thing. Having ridden much more basic spring forks than a 35 gold I think a coil fork is fine just a bit heavy. Hopefully you enjoy the GT more now.🙂 Thanks for the video

Have you cp sodered the Turn Key lockout upgrade? That is also a quick and easy drop in operation. I'm going to see if it settles the front end down a bit before dropping in a firmer spring. I love how plush the fork is, but it may be a tad undersprung.
I have not done that, I have been just about as happy with the spring upgrade, that does sound awesome though. Keep us posted I you do it. Sorry for the delay, I am just now seeing this message this morning. Dale

I banged myself up a bit when I crashed on a ride last night, so it may be a little longer before I get out there again. I also ordered an extra firm spring when I found one on sale for $34 including shipping. It'll be interesting to see what it feels like with both.

@@HeartlandMakesAndOutdoors FS-35S-R-A1 suspension comes in different amounts of travel. i think like 100,120,130,140,160mm. How much travel your suspension has? Mine is 120mm so if u have the same then it fits mine also. 👍

@@HeartlandMakesAndOutdoors since i dont know what bike u have only little flashes here and there and you dont mention the model i just cant know how much travel u have. So you cannot measure it for me or atleast give the lenght of the coil? U are not really answering any of my questions...

I dont know where. you live, but if you click the link that I attached in the last reply, call that company and they will help you out, I do not work for them however they were the only ones willing to help me find the correct spring for this bike. This is what it says on GT website 130mm, 15x110mm, hope this helps, So if you original question was about he 120mm Travel bike, this spring wont fit your bike the best I can tell. If you live her win the US, I would call the folks I gave you the link on previously ask see if they can help you find the correct spring. That is what I mentioned in this video, there is not a lot of information on this shock and replacement parts for it are hard to find. Good luck and Happy Memorial Holiday to you. Dale
