The Portuguese League is not very competitive...but still, the numbers coaching FC Porto are remarkable, as they won 2 leagues in a row - 11/12 and 12/13 - 60 games in total, 47 victories, 12 draws and only 1 defeat!

If he still has the skillset he is a great scout coach and good with training young players. For example he is the guy who discovered Kim Min Jae, and also touched Ferdi Kadioğlu's development. However he is awful managing star players. He ruined Van Persie, Nani and later on Mesut Ozil lol.

He was in charge of a winning squad, with the most talent in the country and couldn`t make it work because he tried to play in a style that didn`t make sense with the players he had. He wasn`t flexible, instead of adapting to the talent in hand, he put players in bad spots and couldn`t find answers in a squad that had recently won Libertadores and Brazil Cup one month before he was hired.
