I went back today and sat on another streetfighter 848 (they had one in red, yellow and black). The previous time I sat on the red one and this time they let me sit on the black one and the clutch was very smooth, nothing compared to the red one :) clutch is no longer a problem, thanks for the good advice. When I turned around the corner and saw the black one (wasn't there the previous time) my heart literally skipped a beat! Now I'm definatly going to save money for a black 848 streetfighter :)
Thanks for the reply! It's nice that the levers come adjustable, I guess I didn't pay attention to it when I sat on it :D Now I will go back this week to sit on the streetfighter again and then I'll check it out. Maybe I've just got to get used to a heavier clutch since that's the only thing I didn't like much about the duc. Since I saw it in real life I'm pretty much in love with it :)
I sat on a streetfighter yesterday and the only thing I didn't really like was (like u mentioned: complaints about the clutch) the heavy clutch imo. I personally like motorcycles with lighter clutches more, but I'm still thinking of buying one and replace the brake lever and clutch lever with an aftermarket (adjustable) one. Nice vid and u got an extra subscriber :)
Nice overview... Don't be put off by the single sided swingarm. I find chain adjustments easier than on a conventional arm - no screwing around to get the chain riding perfect center. The axle is on an eccentric... Plenty of vids here on youtube showing the adjustment.
Hey Vodka, is the sub 4000rpm surge really that bad? or is just nitpick? I want a 14t sprocket but afraid 1st gear is gonna be too short, or affect the swingarm in the long term.
hondo Jorge,no its fine sub 4g but in the town 5-6 gear is pretty much a no no if you wanna stick to speed limits, the swing arm is a strong bit of kit,it would probably take anything you can throw at it,a short first gear is nothing to worry about either,if you need more info on the sprocket change go here www.ducatifighter.com there a helpful bunch of guys:)
Love the Streetfighter... I really want one. Riding a Speed Triple now. Btw, are you from Sweden? Seems to be Swedish roads you are riding... What roads are these, looks nice!
I guess ducati thought the monster would appeal to shorter people,as its nice and low.Even with the termis on you can keep a relatively low noise in the early hours..
Your review is spot on mate. Picked mine up yesterday. Great bike! You've gotta have pussy hands to not be able to use the clutch though. Love the bike.
It’s 2024! I still own mine and I still love it! Even comparing w ducatis new stuff, this one is special
Love the feel of the Ducati twin. Nothing else like it.

Awesome looking bike, sounds fantastic too in that tunnel :) I understand it´s got a 132 hk engine, that should be enough power :D Great review!
Thanks man. Gonna buy one in two weeks.
