- Today I will be showing you how to setup a trifold brochure for print in Illustrator, with this quick and easy to follow Illustrator tutorial. I have used both Illustrator and InDesign to export trifold brochures for print, and both work just fine in 2017. I have already made a tutorial on a trifold brochure in InDesign, so today we take a detailed look at making and exporting a trifold brochure for print in Illustrator!

Just a minor observation in that you suggested "Three Equally Sized Panels" which would result in "Clogging-Up" the "Inside Fold". The "In-folding Edge" should be slightly "Shortened" for best result

I think the fold mark was part of the mockup. and plus, the fold marks isn't part of this tutorial.

Hi! Mr. Satori, I created a quad fold brochure on illustrator but after printing, some folds do not fall in the right place when you compare the front page and the back page. How do I fix this?

explained very well, thank you
to make it a bit less annoying to get the 3rds of the workspace I would recommend:
1. using the Line tool or pen tool to draw from the left top corner to the right top corner.
2. divide the width or on the properties by just typing in /3. Now you have a perfect 1/3 to use as a ruler
3. just put the guides on the first 1/3 and just use that through the entire thing.

thank you for the awesome video! any chance you can get us the pdf printing settings for such bordeless double-sided documents? whatever option i use, i just can't match the folding lines (front with back).

Thanks Gaurav, and no it isn't mandatory, but that is just the units I use because I learned graphic design in the UK and we use mm there :)

how about the print gow not to include the color palletes on the side?
But do the marks you enabled also get printed? Because they look like they are actually ON the Brochure (e.g. 4:48 top left corner) ??
Johnson97 they are crop and bleed marks, the printer company uses them to cut along.. everything outside of them will be cut off and discarded :)
