Love it. First time someone is actually taking time out in the video to explain the settings used and why and also telling you how to get to them. Thank you!
You are probalby the reason why I will start with fpv drone flying. I am training in simulators like uncrashed and will buy the avata 2 within the next 2 months. Keep up your high quality content. Really appreciate that.
@@fabreezy_ Had a remote laying around from my dad and at first I noticed how hard it is to even hover with a drone in acro mode. Now I am getting more preceise in inputs and flying aibilitys everyday. Freestyle and flying in small areas really gives that kick. What I really love about the concept of the Avata 2 is that it is quite fast and responsive and also has a great camera. Seems to be the best fitting product for me
Thanks for these settings bro. What are you export settings for Gyroflow? Because I am afraid that exporting in Gyroflow will decrease the quaility again (however your footage always looks stunning so this should not be an issue probably).
Great video. thanks! Should I use a high shutter speed so that when I use camera tracking software I don't get too much motion blur? does that mean I should also tweak another setting while I am at it?
Hey man thanks for the support. Davinci doesn’t support the .look file format like premier does. Baking the conversion into the cube file doesn’t really work well so I have kept it seperate :)
Nice video, very helpful. I just got the RC3 and trying to figure out the best way to fly the avata 2. In terms of camera angle and rates, what are your settings?
Great video, Mr. Fabreezy. Thank you for sharing. QQ: After configuring these settings, does the Avata 2 preserve these settings after powering the drone/google off?
Great tips once again. If you intend to slow it down in post, you go for 60 fps. What about if you intend to ramp up the speed, would you shoot in 60 or 30 fps?
If you plan on ramping up speed for long periods of time i would shoot in 60fps to avoid stuttering. if you just want to speed ramp the end/ beginning of each clip then 30 fps
Whats about Jitter with ND Filter? When Gyroflow compares blured pictures you will have a lot of Jitter so with action 4 or gopro Cams all pros recommend its better to use 90 degree shutter. So 1/120 reduces Jitter when using 30fps compared. to 1/60.
@@fabreezy_ thanks. ok or it's because of the gimbal mount on the Avata 2. With Action 4 on classical fpv drones or dji avata i have such issues. Also Jello sometimes. But jello is easy to remove. Jitter is not removable. So another advantage of the Avata and sorry for blaming you not using the Avata 2 recently. You did. And you did very good. Tonight i also fly to Indonesia for 3 weeks, but with dji fpv and hero 12 naked and action 4. I think 1/120 will do also for me and i use also all of your settings over a couple of years and they work very well.

Is the process to stabilized the footage on gyroflow and than move them into premiere pro? by doing that does not ruin the footage before i’m going to color grade them in premiere? Which is the workflow? Are there some specific settings of export in gyroflow? Thanks Fabio! 🙏
Great question! Gyroflow does not decrease the quality of your footage at all so don’t worry. 1. Stabilise footage 2. Edit in premier 3. Export Hope this helps :)
Thank you very much for these very clear explanations ! 🙏I would like to know if in the camera settings you slightly reduce the sharpness of the sensor? (around-2 for example). Also when you film a sunset, do you have to change during filming ND filter? For example going from 16 to 8 ?
I have not reduced the sharpness as I was pretty happy how it looks on 0. You can't change the ND mid flight so make sure to choose the right one before take off. Hard to tell without seeing the sunset but could range from 16 - 8 usually depending how bright it is :)
As someone who is not familiar with gyro flow and film editing, and is just used to filming and posting on social media, do you still recommend these setting adjustments?
Great information mate 👍🏻 what settings on the Avata2 do you suggest for low light sunrise/sunset flights and are you always using a ND8 for these scenarios? Heading to Indonesia next month. ISO? EV? WB? ND? Cheers 🤙🏻
It depends how bright it is but I often find myself using the nd8 right before the sun has set. ISO on 200 ev around -0.3 for reference WB probably around 5000 hope this helps
@@fabreezy_ yes it does help mate really appreciate it 🤙🏻 I haven’t really done a lot of sunset/sunrise flights so it’s a good starting point the rest I’ll work out. Thx dude 😊
Thanks so much! Question: what Color profile should I use if I DON'T do post editing? Still D-Log M? Lastly, what Windows PC software do you recommend for easy post editing?
I would always recommend d Log M, it makes a huge difference. Trust me just spend a little time on learning the basics and you'll be fine :) Alternatively u can of course shoot in the standard colour profile but i havent really used it. Use premier, final cut or davinci for post production
Underexposing the footage won’t bring more noise when pulling those shadows in post? I thought it was better to shoot a bit over and recover the HL than under, at least with the M3P worked that way. Thoughts?
95% of the time I under expose as the shadow recovery rate is much higher in my opinion. I also like a contrasty look so it works very well for me. Recovering highlights is usually harder for me and during the trip to Indonesia I noticed I get better results when under exposing sometimes
How shooting in 4:3 will be better for social media IG stories for example? Do we still need to crop the footage anyway right? Is there a easier way than quickly cropping straight on the Iphone before posting? Cheers and congrats on the great content.
