The gap in the front is for heat dissipation all components inside are water proof. The rattling with rear fender is normal when going in bumpy road, to minimize it just put foot in the back of the board. NOT ON FENDER.
i think you're prob spot on with the front gap being for air cooling. i'd agree the rattling fender is "normal" given the poor product design choice to construct a fender prone to that much movement over bumps. my feet are permanently on the back of the board (size 14 US shoe).
Hey, my rear fender got scratched and I want to replace it . How do I get a replacement and how do you take it off and put the new one on . Do you have a video on how to take it off ?
I noticed the rattle quickly too and attributed to rear fender. I only have 60 miles on mine so far but have found riding my rear foot a little on the fender reduced the sound some on bumpy sections.
Thanks for posting this video. I’ve had mine for three weeks and have seen the same “issues” on mine. I am still not convinced about the front deck opening. Someone mentioned it is for cooling purposes but a vent at the very front of the board would surely be more effective. I noticed the rattling noise during the first ride and initially thought there was something loose. Have you got any fix/workaround for the rattle? I am currently in the process of returning mine...
Velco or felt being placed between the metal surfaces at the base of the could help the rattle. I've kind of just learned to ignore it at this stage personally. The front deck opening certainly would provide a bunch of airflow over the controller from what I see. I actually wonder if it will make the battery too cold in lower temps and affect performance.
