Trains at Wrexham General (31/08/23) | Jakeso

Today I took a train down to Wrexham General, my intent was to watch some Class 508s get dragged to scrap, however the drag was cancelled so I did some trainspotting. Wrexham is a very nice station, althought it can sometimes go 30 minutes without trains!
In today's video we see 2 operators:
Transport for Wales: Class 150, Class 158, Class 197 and Class 230
GBRf: Class 66

What is the best way to get down to Wrexham? From Edinburgh.

Hi, if I were to do it, I’d go this way (although there are alternatives)
Edinburgh - Wigan North Western (Avanti)
Wigan North Western - Liverpool Lime Street (Northern)
Liverpool Lime Street - Bidston (Merseyrail)
Bidston - Wrexham (Transport for Wales)
That seems like the fastest route in my eyes, another alternative would be to keep going to Crewe, then get a TFW service to Chester and then to Wrexham, although then that would require you to go down to then go up again. Hope that helps 👍🏻
