On the 3rd November 2024 the Branchline Society and Merseyrail hosted the FINAL Class 507 Farewell: The Sefton Sparkler. While I didn't travel on board this time around, I did spend the day chasing it around, of which I've put into this video.
The Class 507s and 508s have served us well, farewell and thank you.

On the 15th September 2024 I embarked on the Branchline Society's Wirral Swan Song Rail tour, the farewell tour for the Class 507 on the Wirral Line! We run up and down the Wirral Line for hours, running into sidings, depots and rare track. We also take a quick trip onto the Northern line via the Stock Interchange Line to visit Kirkdale Depot! It was a very fun tour and I can't wait for the Nor...

On The Wirral Swan Song (Wirral Line Class 507 Farewell) Today, while sitting in the Birkenhead Central Sidings, a member of the train crew decided to go through all the preloaded announcements built into the BTROS, most of which I've never heard before (or knew existed) It made for an interesting few minutes and also some laughter at points, I figured it was worth its own video. Hope you enjoy...

On the 3rd February 2012 a Class 90 (90046) derailed at Bletchley Junction after severely overspeeding the set of points on the line. In this video, we will find out why this happened and what was done after to prevent this from happening again, I hope you enjoy! Sorry for this video being so late. Those shift patterns plus a 12 hour shift as the last one ... management needs their *ss kicking
I want to drive an class 508 🥹 wish
I prefer the 507 and 508
Boss video, could some what see me in the front at 01:46 when 001 went to the reverser
I nearly became derailed many years ago approaching Finsbury Park due to the poor sighting of the route indicator on approach to the signal just north of the station on the up fast line. I saw the signal had cleared to green from a restrictive aspect and so I applied power, only to see I had been routed from the Up Fast to the Up Slow line. I got quite a kick sideways upon going through that junction way too fast with a class 325 EMU.
Whers the dredded 777s
The class 507 is my favourite train. I have so many memories, I loved it's smell, the sound and the style, and as a kid I didn't know that 313,314,315's existed. And It was the first train I had ever ridden in my life. I remember the beauty and joy they brought to me, I came from Latvia to see the class 507 for the last time. Rest in piece Class 508's (508/1), and thank you 507's for the amazing service. I'll make sure to see 001 at Derby in 2025.
I have a ≈1990's image framed on my bedside table. (I don't have autism)
Nice video!
Yer I was on that tour in Coach E and we all had a right laugh at the This coach is on Fire please exit to next coach brilliant way to spend 15 mins sat in Birkenhead Cent siding waiting time hats off to who ever it was up front who decided to keep us all entertained by the various announcements
Great video Jake
I've lived in Bromsgrove all my life, I remember the incident being reported, but of course the lockdown restricted the ability of the media to report it, and diverted attention from it. I remember the train was derailed adjacent to the cemetery where my uncle, grandparents and mother are buried, just a few yards in front of a bridge, but I never knew the details until now. Bromsgrove Station was still relatively new, having recently been rebuilt with 4 platforms instead of two, and sidings relocated. The former Wagon Works at the station are now a housing estate. Excellent video, thank you. A family member has since qualified as a train driver, it took 2 years, due to covid.
The virtue-signalling, amoral train. But it got you there at least!
Does anyone know why there discontinued the new trains are awful in the west midlands
And in milton keynes central those train got delay for 100 mins of Northampton to london euston and one class 390 take london midlands service
It the great heck of britan
More like um 150/3 FIRE DIGGER
It's more like pendolino 390/95
Not a bike
Will you do the Llanbrynmair incident transport for wales?
Potentially. If I do, it won't be for a while. I'll need to wait for the RAIB report to be published which could take up to 2 years and, additionally, as this incident involves a fatality I find it only appropriate to wait a while in respect for the person who passed away. However, my next incident video will be about the 2021 Salisbury Derailment, although I had already planned this before Llanbrynmair, so I might give reference to Llanbrynmair if the appropriate time comes up.
This is the 3 car class 507018 is still currently allocated to ME - Merseyrail since 1978 is now aged 46 years old. At present 💝, there are currently 6 x 3 car class 507s are with ME - Merseyrail are 507001/003/007/018/023/028 and the rest of most of the class 507s and 508s have previously gone to the scrapyard. All ME - Merseyrail trains 🚂 🚊 🚆 have luggage 🧳 rack, no smoking 🚭 accommodation is because it’s prohibited 🚫on all trains 🚂 🚊 🚆 , railway 🚃 stations 🚉 , no toilet 🚽 🚻 🚾 , enclosed public places and inside the buildings around the world 🗺️ 🌏 🌎 🌍 , open windows 🪟, automatic operating doors 🚪, bins 🗑️ 🚮, standard class accommodation only, gangway within unit and the railway passengers can 👌 sit anywhere they like 👍 ❤️ is because there’s no first class accommodation. The 4 car class 777s will replace the 3 car class 507s and 508s. The final day of class 507s is probably likely to happen is Sunday 15th November 2024 is next month is under a month time 🕰️. ME - Merseyrail runs in all parts of Merseyside and limited parts of Cheshire in the northwest of England 🏴 everyday including public holidays except Christmas 🎄🎅 🤶 🧑🎄 Day and perhaps 🤔 Boxing 🥊 Day however do run on New 🆕 Year’s Day is the 1st 🥇 of January so happy 😃 😀 😁 new 🆕 year 🥳. Good 👍 😊 😌 luck 🍀 to see the class 777s are arriving in Merseyside for ME - Merseyrail. The reason why ME - Merseyrail runs on New 🆕 Year’s Day 💥 ❗️ ‼️🧨 🎆 🎇 🎀 🥳 🎈 🎉 is because people 🧔♀️ 👨🏼🦲 🧑🦲 👩🦲 👨🦳 👵 🧓 👴 🧔♂️ 🧔 want to see friends, go to work and other things like 👍 ❤️ that. Enjoy 😉 ☺️ 😊 the new 🆕 life of class 777s when they arrive for ME - Merseyrail. 👍 😆 😁 😍 😄 😃 😀 😎

@killer1479 I believe its a track recording camera, the Southeastern 707s had them for a little while last year...

@@killer1479 I'm fine with companies like STADLER, and ALSTOM. but if any chinese company produces trains for us. Then that's too far.
Nice I saw it at Stafford
Very interesting 👌
I'm really sorry but as you gabbled the commentary so much I could not concentrate. The script and presentation would be great if you could just re-record at an appropriate speed? Thansk ad I hopd you take the criticism as conconstructive. Basically: SLOW DOWN!
Not an IET
Driver error. I’m not sure why people are suggesting it is an issue with the signals at the location. All drivers that “sign” there route must know it off by heart and every signal and route indications. Expect anything to happen at anytime. The indicator to divert should have been spotted and understood completely for any qualified train driver. There is no excuse.
Cant hear the commentary over the music, graphics very poor.
Signal confirmation bias is a big issue with the train drivers if you run a route constantly and know all of the signals and not expecting to see a danger aspect signal
The driver had confirmation bias he expected to see and the indication for straight and not expecting to see the route indicator for the up fast specific instructions to the driver from the signaller to tell the driver that they will be crossing to the up fast line at a certain junction would give the driver sufficient time to act in accordance with the train operational rules for certain junctions and observing speed limit changes well in advance also the driver should confirm with the speed limit changes with the signaller
recently I caught a pendileno train (probably spelt it wrong) here
2:23 3:07 why is the whole train laughing
So will these announcements not be on the new trains?
didint this also happen with a class 90
@@gibbo_303 no it happened to a class 180 on the same sets of points
Fatigue may not have been a factor, but this happened during circadian low, which will likely have had an effect.
NAH THIS IS FUNNY 😂
The white line "graphical" route indicators are most certainly a more intuitive way of letting a driver know that they're about to diverge from the current track, compared with an alphanumeric route indicator. Having the signal clear while the trains is still a significant distance away also seems a bad idea. Also, on one video I saw recently, the actual divergence was so far away from the signal that a driver might just forget.
