I watched the video of this song in Germany before it was even released. In this video, she was not into it. There was so much sadness in her face. There was no passion. It was like the life was drained from her. I see how she turned to alcohol and what it did to her. Sad.
You can tell she isn't happy when she sung this. Her life wasn't happy ever since she became an adult. She doesn't like her life as a Rockstar, and she misses when she was a kid. That's what she's talking about in this song. "People think something better than I am" is referring to her fans being there for her even though she thinks the haters are right. "Where's when I was young and we didn't give a damn?" Is her missing being a kid and she didn't care how she looked or how she was looked at. "Does anyone care" is her actual question, because she feels like no one cares about her anymore.
