Ya’ll are such a fun family to watch. I always enjoy your videos. Fun fact, the splash color is a result of the chicken have two blue feather genes. It means all their off spring will be either blue or splash (depending on what the offspring gets from the the other parent) because the blue feather gene is dominant.

I am so amazed how she knows all her chickens and keeps track of their breeds as well as their names. This little young lady will be going places. Not to say creating her own breeds. Pretty smart duck to have a nest in a bowl! Our wild/tame ducks make nests by the pond in the horse pasture . . . They've never manged to hatch any, lol!
The marans eggs will be darker in the spring and fade out as they lay more eggs. That showgirl is adorable! My Brahma roosters are the 2 nicest roosters we've ever had, so they're both named "Puppy".
I LOVE the way ya'll spoil MC and her animals. She is such a kind girl and obviously loves her animals. My grandson Blake is eleven and an animal lover also. He says you can tell how much MC loves her chickens.

It seems only our like mallards have really good nesting spots....the other, meh, not so much :)
