That's good because they are not letting people ship seeds or plants anymore. That is sad. Because many times that is the only way to get some of the varieties.
I have to say one more thing, Jason. Whether or not you know it, watching your videos have helped me and my depression. Your farm and your family are so beautiful, and just the way you act together with the animals on your farm have cheered me up when I've been feeling pretty low, especially during this COVID thing. I thank God for you all.

I was born & raised in the city. Lived there til i was 43. When i got my property in '01, i was so proud. But getting that tractor! o. boy! I wanted a Kubota but couldn't afford one. Ended up with a Mahindra. Love love love her! I will find a reason that i need her for the work i hafta do. And i can not dig a post-hole for love, God, money or a bribe.
I just get so excited when you plant! I wish I could be doing the same... I have had 7 strokes in less than a year. My big garden days are past. Although I am now container gardening, with my loving husband (who hated veggies) moving my lawn chair and supplies around so I can garden. God Bless all of you!!! Thanks for the posts!!

I am going to figure out how to run drip at my garden one of these days. I haul water in, and don't have the pressure with gravity feed from my tote tanks. I made a big order with Hoss last week and got that free shipping. I keep praying that it's better late than never. I did not have any luck with my peppers. I couldn't get any jalapenos or bells at the feed store. I started some seeds over a week ago. I hope some peppers come up. I hope everything comes up. I have never done the seed trays before. Lord, during my awake hours I swear I go and check on those seeds and starts 2X an hour. I am so stupid. I talk to everything and touch everything. I'm desperate for success!!! Oh yeah, I'm in Fort Worth.

Hey Jason we used to stuff the Patty pan squash. Scoop out the insides add shredded carrots, zucchini onion garlic mix up with some ricotta cheese and mozzarella cheese some tomatoes s and p use small. Squash so you don't have an overwhelming amount sausage if you like then bake em at 350° with water in the pan. Yum yum. Mrs C H is shrinking before our eyes👍💥! When extending a fence line, if you attach your line to the second fence post instead of the corner it is a lot easier to see when you are running straight. your line will be up against a whole section of fence, not just the width of a post.
I just started watching your vlogs and subscribed to your channel. I just wanted to say I love watching yal! I watch your videos and it makes me wish I were about 15 years younger and in better physical shape. By no means are we “on our way out” but it seems you are living my dream and I didn’t even know it. SO! I am living vicariously through yal and watching how you do things. When my husband retires if we are in any shape to, I hope to start my own homestead. Not with all the same animals. I am thinking chickens for eggs and meat, rabbits and maybe quail. But I have thought of maybe a couple mini goats for pets for my grand monsters along with our two dogs and our polydactyl cat. Anyways, God bless yal and I hope yal stay out there for us to watch. You are going to love that sunburst patty pan. The only patty pan I grow now. It keeps on producing, even when the other summer squash die off. And the taste! Oh, delicious!! Harvest them when they are medium-small size. Enjoy!

I grew patty pan squash for the first time last year but you really need to eat them when they are still quite small or the taste really goes off... if you leave them (for seeds!) they grow pretty bit!!

You don’t really need taller poles. Just raise your cattle panel 18”-20” Your cattle panels are strong enough to handle that amount standing up with out support.
I also use hog panels for my pole beans and have been trying to figure out a taller solution. Sometimes, I'm like, "Why didn't I think of that??" Simple! Thanks. 🤦
i was going to post this to Jason, but i might as well here as anywhere. If you haven't visited Jess & Miah & their family at Roots and Refuge Farm. She does garden tours about once a week, i guess Unless Garden Envy might make your head explode. I'll be honest, Jason's garden does make me a bit envious as well. So i have learned not to watch Cog Hill and Roots & Refuge back to back. It's like eating Thanksgiving Dinner. Twice. In 30 minutes. Anyway. She has raised beds -- but that won't make any difference. She uses the cattle panels as an arch over the garden path.

You can raise the cattle panels up on the shorter poles too. We have 6 ft poles and have the panels up about 2 feet from the bottom.

I think you might need some mulching in your garden. It helps to condition your soil by allowing microbes to flourish.

I found I can replant our okra if the leaves are not good.
