I use to bushcraft camp back when it was called roughing it. I am 66 years old now and I no longer rough it. I was in the Green River Mountains of Wyoming back in 1982 and I was car camping with my ex. The mountains there received an abundance of rain. All of the downed timber was wet. Luckily I had a bottle of charcoal lighter fluid with me. We had a couple from Michigan camping close to us. I told him that I used the fluid to start my fire. He laughed and said that he had split wood clear down to the center of the log before he found dry enough wood to start the fire. I am not going to that much trouble starting a fire unless I have to. I am from Missouri by the way. Oh well. Hey, I love your shows. My wife gets a big kick out of your stealth camping shows. Take care folks. Vaughn

Try to get out there man. You live in and near some very beautiful bush and beaches. I grew up in campbelltown. But would sleep in my station wagon around pebbly beach and Sussix inlet, ulladulla etc.

Hi Steve and wife. Glad you're taking a trip of a lifetime. It's beautiful up at kinbadket lake. Been there with my late husband and two boys. We were camping and picking blueberries, the biggest, juiciest blueberries ever. We had a great time there. As I know you will to. Happy honeymoon trip. 🥂🍾

great video, I like it that you give us several ways to "honker down" with camping. I know there are many that live in the woods, and I envey them. You have left me with several ideas on hiding off grid, and more and more of us are seeking that kind of life.

Have spent hundreds of hours on the trails, rivers and logging roads around Valemount in my teens as my grandparents lived there. Have done same in a variety of countries and still return there for it's beauty, cleanliness & serenity. Try to catch a salmon run through there next time to see the area at it's most spectacular. Congrats & happy honeymoon!

Kinda true about spouses not liking the rustic. That's why for our first overnight date I took my wife of 40 years now, camping on an island in Puget Sound. We got there by canoe and there were no amenities other than toilet paper. She was a champ, and I knew then things would probably work out with us😉.
