Thank you so much for showing how to gauge how much yarn is needed to cast on stitches, using the long tail cast on. Such a simple example, saves so much time.

(Already have 2 great grandson and expecting 2 more great grandsons this Summer and early fall and want to make them both a knitted hat in this pattern as well as your "Ribbed" hat. Thank you so much for showing all us "Newbies" in knitting.
It is a pleasure for me! Congratulation with your great grand baby's, here is my video on learning how to knit, maybe will help a little more. How to Knit
Love this video, just started to learn to knit. Thanks to your fantastic video I'm going to make my friend a little hat ready in time for the baby shower. With your friendly, easy to follow video I will slowly and steadily create the little one a hat..... with a SMALL Pom-Pom :) Thanks again x
Thank you for the English tutorial, I see so many tutorial in Spanish and can't follow them. This is fabulous. I want to learn to knit and this would be a great beginner project maybe. Thank you again :0)
Thanks so much for a simple pattern. I've always wanted too learn a knitted pattern but over thought it. Now I can make more hats too donate too the hospitals again. The next project I wish too make is a sweater with rounded neck line with set in sleeves in X- L size for winter time.
Hi, is the written pattern posted somewhere? if live to have it written so when I'm out and about trying to knit this hat I don't have to access and find the right place in the video... many thanks. :))
Hi Ruby! I love this video!! Your accent is beautiful! I'm from Texas and I miss my Latina friends!! Thank you for the tutorial! I'll send a photo when I'm done!! This is the first time making a baby had and I'm pregnant with baby #4 so better late than never!! Bless you!
That hat is really adorable! I love it! I'm going to make a yellow one for my sisters baby and I have already made a pair of little baby booties to match
Thank you very much for this amazing tutorial I loved it but the size was too big for a newborn so cn you tell me what size for a newborn and how much I need to cast on Thank youx
Cupcake Girls123 maybe try with less knit and pearl rows. I googled average baby head length and measured from the base up and mine is 15 cm (google said average length is 13) altogether so I’m gonna start decreasing and binding off then add a little Pom. I got advice from google and sister + mom since they’ve had babies before. I think the cast ones are ok tho, not too tight unless it’s a premi then maybe 20/20 each, 20 for the back and 20 for the front
Thank you, Ruby. You do an excellent job, here, with your explanation and pointers. I love the hat. You make me want to try it! I'm a beginner, but I'm encouraged. Thanks so much. Rebecca Burr (photo is of my husband!)

Hi Ruby, thanks so much for all the wonderful patterns and easy to follow demonstration! I just did the hat, and it looks great. I was wondering if you have a beginner's pattern, using straight needles, for knit baby pants. I've looked at lots of patterns, and I can't follow the instructions.
KT when I learned to knit, my teacher said that it makes a pretty braid at the side, so it has the purpose of looking pretty if you make a scarf or something rectangular and it might be easier to sew together at the end. I don’t know of you still need this. 😂
Thank you so much for showing how to gauge how much yarn is needed to cast on stitches, using the long tail cast on. Such a simple example, saves so much time.

Awesome and very clear tutorial 🤝🤝👍👍💐
wow thank you for that, you gave how many rows and measurements and and was very easy to follow.
I'm curious as to why you pass the first stitch of the row (while doing the rim) to the needle instead of knitting it.
KT when I learned to knit, my teacher said that it makes a pretty braid at the side, so it has the purpose of looking pretty if you make a scarf or something rectangular and it might be easier to sew together at the end. I don’t know of you still need this. 😂
