    If you have a fish tank or a duck pool, algae means it’s clean and can sustain life and new life, algae doesn’t mean it’s dirty b cause algae can only grow in high quality water, it’s also a fun snack for ducks and fish to eat to!

    Maybe if you put floating rooting plants into the pool you won't have to clean it as often. My beta fish probably didn't produce quite as much fertilizing waste but was enough that the symbiosis kept the water crystal clean and the plant grew like crazy like your grass!

    • @cielonehellofaservicedog4648
      @cielonehellofaservicedog4648 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@itay_arbel it is where we take sweet grass (it is very tall and flat leaf) and we braid it into a 3 strand braid, dry it, and then burn it to bless/cleanse a place or to help send messages to heaven to our ancestors. The number 3 is seen as a sacred number, thus a 3 strand braid. The smoke is considered very sacred and powerful medicine.

  • @MyDuckSaysFucc
    @MyDuckSaysFucc ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ducks are SO dirty, I could never do this with mine. You are avoiding the worst of the mess by using gravel/rocks as ground cover, but this causes bumblefoot in heavier ducks (and might even cause issues in small ones too) keep an eye on their lil feet and don’t try putting anything like a pekin on rocks like that. I literally just had a friend go through this because they used a similar setup with pekins.

    • @stephanied9629

      What about pea gravel? I see a lot of duck owners have their runs filled with pea gravel.

  • @NerdyMaiden

  • @HenryTheHampter
    @HenryTheHampter ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just had a quick question! Are the pea pebbles uncomfortable for ducks to walk on? I’ve thought about doing that for the new duck coop we’re building but bc I won’t be able to let them out all of the time, I wasn’t sure if they’re feet would get sore from walking on them
    They still get let out ofc but I can’t do it as often as daily

    Is that valve on the side one you could attach a hose to? If you wanted/needed a fuller lawn, you could use the old duck water all over. ...or you could gift it to some of your neighbors who look like they could use it 😊❤

      Doesn’t seem to be that much with my ducks and i have 5 of them. Of course, the ground absorbs it pretty fast, too. And maybe it depends on the kind of duck? I have Muscovies. Mine don't really poo in their water, either. I had geese for a short time and THEY poop all the time and in the pool. Waaay worse than the ducks.

We must not forget that theyre still young and still tiptoeing theyre way in the industry they need someone to protect them and guide them but this woman aint it she needs to step back and know her boundaries shes way too comfortable with them.
