I have thrown it on a variety of sizes. But heavy moderate or medium heavy moderate. From 7’3 to 7’10. I like the moderate action to let them get it and not pull it away.
Up. Here in Minnesota. After ice out and it warms up. Fish start getting more active. Only thing for them. Pisnic type food. Until later in the spring early summer. Do too photosynthesis. Lake starts to hatch other things. And options expand. One day there pounding a jerkbaits. Until there’s a bug hatches start. Jerkbaits stops immediately. Forced too start trying different methods or approaches. That’s my experience
As you spoke of the shaky head , I tried another type shaky head with yum dinger on 3/16 shaky head works well when high skies and very little wind when you head to brush piles , it’s thicker profile seems to work really well.
I havent caught squat on it. Tried it haven't caught jack. I live in southwest Ohio and fishing is tough. Look at tournament results. 10lbs wins. I have caught fish on the Ned but can't get this one.
Nice! That sounds like a fun bite for sure. I have not had much chance to go fish shallow lately. Been busy with the FFS / offshore lessons. Good luck to ya!
I have had to switch back to a drop shot and hair jig. TIP! We have a couple marina,s on smithmountain lake that people feed carp. That is a good place to learn what size fish look like on ffs. Your tips are spot on!
Appreciate it! I have a variety of content on the channel! Been busy with guide trips / FFS trips. So that has made it tough on me making content on the water
I’ve got an express. Modified Jon boat. Small water rivers. Friend in Tennessee. Has one like that.
Sweet!!
What size rod do you need and action for that big swimbait

Interesting! I believe it… I know of an angler that swears by it on a few lakes he fishes. One of those is DQ. I need to give it more of a chance.

Had a lot of rain here kept the water temp down still catching them shallow on a square bill.👍👍👍👍👍

What weight do you use on your jig head minnow
I use 1/4 to 1/2 mostly. Depends on clarity. Depth. Situation. Also used 5/8 this winter for deep deep deep fish

That is a great TIP! You also learn how they look on the scope color wise. They don’t glow the same as bass / crappie. Good stuff 👍🏽👍🏽
I agree with Jimi good tip.
Have you ever seen a gator trax? If so, what do you think?
I have seen one in person. I have never rode / fished in one. I have been told they are good boats!
Great channel !!!

The honeymoon period will definitely be over next season. Like any other hot new bait pressured lakes will see it...
Yeah when I recorded this video all of this info was legit. The last two months. They have ate it and ate it and ate it 😁🤣
Spastic enthusiasm.
