No, it's the standard chime for terminating station, regardless of whether it's the end of the line or not. The shuttle trains also used the same chime for Boon Lay, Jurong East, Queenstown, and Buona Vista. In normal times, EWL trains terminating at Joo Koon also played the same chime, so do NSL trains terminating at Yishun, Kranji, Toa Payoh, or Ang Mo Kio. There was no TEL probably because it was recorded after Tuas extension opened but far before TEL3 opened.
Since this disruption, the KHI fleet have become the 'majority' fleet on the NSL and the fleet is evenly spread out with half on both lines although now they are operating during the weekday peak hours only while the C651 and C751B trains are gradually being decommissioned (with some KHI trains to be followed soon as well)
Yeah. It really sucks when SMRT doesn't want to prioritize newer third-gen C751B fleet even though common sense should tell them to ground most of the oldest C151 fleet instead since it's the culprit of the breakdown/damage. It also sucks they're gone suddenly from service, (possibly) permanently, as a result from it. I was really expecting SMRT to hold off the C651 & C751B retirement from this. (they did the opposite instead)
@garfieldandfriends1 C651 are too outdated to operate alr. Now the KHI fleet are basically 'endangered' and on the verge of retirement (especially 065/066, 125/126 and 127/128) while those on EWL (which I am no longer riding on) are also now at high risk of running beyond peak hours, maybe that's why they prefer to standardise the NSEWL fleet to only two types of trains operating which I am fine with tbh especially with this type of breakdown
And I'm still waiting for that 2024 CCL adjustment video. But yeah I guess OTP terminating announcement hasn't been updated due to the termination of the LTE in 2013, then why is there a 2017 version of that for? Then yet again for some reason R151 played the normal arriving announcement. May I use these for openBVE (I plan to upload videos with the announcements you recorded from Nov onwards)?
Thank goodness for you guys too much 🥰 I hope you a good day ❤
4:49 TEL Has left the chat and thhe fact that passengers has to alight and reboard many times just to reach tuas
