The best character role in ballet is that of Queen Myrtha...in control & unforgiving with a stone cold heart....some of the evil bastards in this life may well meet her in the next!.....Nice vid with good camera work into the bargain....Thanks for posting....
What's also really chilling is that when Myrtha first comes into the story, the music is so sweet and innocent, well suited to something like Giselle being laid to rest. That music contrasts completely with Myrtha herself.

Same. I’ll always think of Albrecht as the real villain of the story and you cannot convince me otherwise.
The way I see it, Hilarion thinks he owns Giselle just because he's in love with her. He wanted to ruin her romance with the prince out of jealousy.
