    This stuff is so neat. The radiosonde hardware is really interesting, I learned here they are also transmitting GPS data which is even neater. Bigger then I imagined them to be as well.

    Just recovered a Nebraska launched Radiosonde. To track and recover these Sonde's (good for the environment) can be as fun as the launch.

      Anyhow, 30km==100,000 feet. & how do you know that altitude?? With a recovered altimeter, or just a wild guess???

    How do y'all get it back, how far does it usually land from the office?

    • @182QKFTW

      They do not try to recover them. However, there is prepaid (edit)*postage* to send it back if you find one. They will refurbish if able and reuse it

    1 . After how much heights the bloon will not work?
    2. After a taking all the information, what will happen with bloon and it's instrument.? Is it lost in space or we can refind it?

    And do you recover the balloons after they've drifted back to land? Or do they pollute our waterways, the ocean, and kill wildlife?

    • @michaelcline8835
      @michaelcline8835 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It all falls back down with the radiosonde if you hadn't noticed it all tied together. Simply paying attention to the details of the video would have resulted in your lack of leaving such a presumptuous, snarky comment. Go hug a tree you narrow minded fool.

    Hydrogen or Helium?

    • @andrewstollmeyer43
      @andrewstollmeyer43 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hydrogen. It is almost as lite as helium, and helium is very expensive in comparison. For amateur launches we use helium, but when you launch everyday it is better to use hydrogen (even if it is super explosive).

    • @HaykMartirosyan
      @HaykMartirosyan 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@andrewstollmeyer43 Agree! Thanks for replying! We're facing the same, paying too much for helium, and planning to move to hydrogen. As you said even if it is explosive...

      Noone wants to waste helium. Without it we can't imitate chipmunks.
