It's acceptance of one's situation, but not giving up. Rather acceptance that leads to understanding, and that understanding leads to strength to see the situation through. It's tranquility. That's this song to me.

Words can't describe how surreal, disturbing yet soothing and nostalgic this track sounds to me. Silent Hill will always have its special place in my heart, even though I'm scared to realize, how many years have passed since I first entered the fog :(

This song fits the entire Silent Hill series perfectly, I can see it being played while someone is wandering through out the barren, desolate town, wondering what has happened to it and thinking to themselves if they are alone or not.
starting with terrifying Labyrinth theme from SH2 and flows into something so divinely depressing and at the same time so soothing and familiar. I've never played this game but if my soul had a soundtrack it would be A Stray Child. Akira Yamaoka is pure genius and god in human form 🖤
I love how distinct the audio and soundtrack for everything silent hill related is just so easily recognizable. If I hear it, I automatically just know that it's from this franchise. Awesome vid btw!
I could just imagine listening to this in a loop while walking through an alley way at night. Feeling the breeze, hearing the eerie wind blowing, and seeing a endless dark alley way with white color lights looping ahead, everything is black bbn and white. This song has the street feel of abandonment and isolation, walking alone, and being somewhat safe. A quite breezy night would be nice.
While I’ve never played any Silent hill game or ever seen the films. This eerie track has followed me for the last 8 years on creepy TH-cam compilations, scary story videos, creepy pastas, and even someone catching a perv online, and I absolutely adore this song.
The moment that made me wonder if the characters (of the first, second, and third game) could have been killing random civilians, in reality, this whole time? 😨😨😨 Then again, reality in the Silent Hill-verse has always been questionable...
@@Scarshadow666 yeah, i think in a documentary of SH3, one developer says something about, not knowing what really the monster are, is left to the player, so this theory isn't wrong at all

Really cool how this song is constructed at the root by both the Labyrinth and the Forest Trail from Silent Hill 2. Akira Yamaoka really is a genius - the use of such motifs links places in our mind, making Silent Hill feel even more cohesive.
Wudzee As relaxing as this song is, it's a bit too emotionally exhausting for me to fall asleep to... You're lucky to be able to just relax to music like this.

I really like Tue beginning of this, it's probably one of the most creepy sounds I've ever heard. as for the rest of it... I don't care for it at all. I remember SH4 had the same type of industrial ost in the prison, spent forever looking for just that. never did find it sadly.
if creepy industrial sound is what you like don't forget to checkout SH 2 soundtrack as well. SH1 is not bad too but even Yamaoka admitted that at that time he was still a beginner with industrial and still experimenting with the style rather than really knowing what he was doing
I feel more of a a content or acceptance vibe. Like a "Welll shit. More monsters. Ahh well.. Best get to poppin dat hos ass! If I die so be it! I died trying!" Almost like it's a career of hers. And it's another day at work.

creepiest part was the best part

Relaxing but depressing. Silent Hill was nowhere near scary for me(except some moments) but it has mystery and loneliness in that sound in core

Perfection!!!!
I've always thought that SH 3 is just as good in every sense as 1 and 2

Easily the best song in the whole franchise.
its very hard to choose because every piece is amazing, akira is a god!!!
Srh Crg stfu
It's impossible to put that name to one song from the SH franchise
Welcometobangkok why you tilted? Lmao
You forgot Room of Angel
This theme really fits well with all the disturbing childhood memories people have experienced
This song was used in every creepy pasta easter egg video in early TH-cam lmao. Never knew it was from SH3 all that time

the forest trail in sh2, SH2 and SH3 are the best survival horror games of all time.
There is nothing can beat Akira Yamaoka soundtracks (at least for me)...this man is unbelievable and I'm not even exaggerating
Kenji Kaway and Kow Otani are pretty good too

I recommend playing at least the second one, it's kinda a standalone story so you don't need to play the others and most agree it's the best
I get the same with Silent Hill 2’s Day of Night song, recently heard it on a soccer video which was strange to say the least.
To me, its calming and somewhat melancholy.
It should be melancholic😉It's illbient aka dark trip hop anyway
