What an incredible house and Joanna’s design is spot on! However *6:35 the Diamond Design” on the wall behind the bed in the Master Suite... “Do you like that wall, the accent wall?” Her mouth saying, “Yes” but her face tells a different story.
The kitchen and master suite is the best they’ve ever done! I’m not an exhibitionist however the huge window over that fabulous bathtub might bother some folks. The tiled bathroom curved ceiling is so unbelievably beautiful! I wish we could’ve seen the other bedrooms and bathrooms. I would have loved to have seen this entire episode.
Can we talk about that whole wall long shower 😲

Wide open floor plans are awesome but remember furniture placement is sometimes difficult. If the furniture is floating where do you plug the lamps for proper lighting. Does everyone want to have a private conversation, watch TV, do homework, talk on the cell, cook, eat all in the same room? Lots to think about. Nice home however.
I hear ya. I like open floor plans so I can check on what the kiddies are doing in the livingroom while cooking in the kitchen. However, when my husband is home watching a movie or a TH-cam it is nice to send the children to the play room on the other side of the house.
I do! I have a large family and I love to host. So open floor plans are the best option for me.
Rugs are a great way to divide up each area so each has its own place even though it’s one big room.

When I see these remodels I always wonder if they left the rest of the house ugly.

$450k?! Why not just buy a vacant plot of land somewhere and then build your dream home on it? Could have been done for half what they paid. SMH
It's all about taxes and insurance, you get taxed on what you pay for the house
it looks lovely but they never tell you how much it cost i bet its not cheap
@Wong Wing Sang At 3.19 Chip talks through the budget. It's a 4 bed, 4 bath home built in 1975 with a pool in the back. The couple paid $277k but had a $450k budget. Which allowed up to $173k for the renovations. I expect they spent all of that to achieve the high quality inside and out.
