  • Some quick tips on pruning your Oregano. One thing I forgot to mention as well for drying your oregano, is that you don't have to use a dehydrator, you can tie them in small bundles and hang them up to dry.

Wow! I didn’t know I was supposed to trim this huge oregano I have in the back that was here from the previous owner of the house. I haven’t used this one, but I’ve dried oregano before.
I’m trying to fill up a small slope in the back of my yard, that no one sees, with edible ground covers and such.
My dog loves to bark at the dogs behind us, so I put a small fence about 4’ in. I’m trying to find some fast growing edible herbs that will return each year, so he doesn’t want to get back there anymore. He gets filthy😆! Any suggestions? I’m so overwhelmed!
Oh! I just found your channel and love the name and content. I’m a new subscriber. Your voice is calming and you make it seem so simple, and I have a very complex backyard that is about 1/3 acre. I’m single and taking care of my sick son who had Lyme and other tick-borne infections, among other things. He’s scared to get into any foliage now.

Thanks so much for the kind words, glad you enjoy the videos...and thanks for subscribing! Pruning oregano will help the plant bush out more and produce more over time. I have been harvesting off of mine for several years now. As for something to put along your fence, have you thought about raspberries, instead of herbs? The canes will spread over time and can help put a barrier along the fence to help with the dogs, plus you get lots of berries in the early summer. You can also get some varieties that will produce a second time in the late summer to early fall. I have used these along a garden fence I had in the past to help keep my dogs from trying to dig under the fence.

Todd, your raised garden beds look great! I hope the rest of your week is as prolific as your oregano!
