Matt's short true story titled Insanity can be listened to hear on YT. It's about this crazy attorney and man it's good. It was great to listen to at work. His writing is pretty darn good almost as good as listening to him tell the story himself. This guy is such a great story teller.
First time I listen to this I'm hiking in the mountains. When Matt talks about leaving his friends behind I just sat down on a rock. I've never been incarcerated but it made me grateful for my freedom.
It makes sense you would feel sad and every thing you felt and probably still feel. You probably found actual true friends in prison. When you think about it look how many people prior to going to prison you thought were your friends yet they were not. There are many reasons why I support and watch your channel Matt. But one of the reasons is I can not only see who you are as a human being I can feel it. I have a immense amount of respect for you for how you share your life experiences, how genuine you are and you just put yourself out there. I have enjoyed watching you evolve and am proud of you. It brings me peace and happiness to see you and others evolve. Thank you for always keeping it real and being who you are. 💕✌🏻💜👍🏻🌸🌼🌺🌹

I've been following your story since the early days, please make a video on your breakup. I remember you had one video where you discussed it, and I could tell you were devastated. I would very much like a longer version of that video, I enjoy seeing you show the emotional side of things. Your story is very interesting and full of twists and turns, and because you're a con man, the "confidence" man is the major part of your persona. It's extremely interesting to see you be more vulnerable and I quite enjoy it. Hopefully this doesn't come off as strange, I hope you understand what I mean when I say it's interesting. Keep killing it Matt, this was an excellent episode.

Yeah man ,I really enjoyed watching your story and just subscribed .. good content and I can relate to some of that. Looking fwd to watching more of your videos
I felt what he said about leaving jail. It’s a strange sadness. I was on chemo for 24 months when I was 13. I was so happy to be finished with that torture, but at the same time I cried because I was going to miss the relationships I had made with my fellow patients/families and the medical staff. Life is strange. ❤️
A lot of those guys are never getting out, unless it's in a box; or will get out and go straight back in for the rest of their lives in an endless cycle. There are actually a lot of mental issues here, and previous trauma, that cause prisoners to not be able to rehabilitate, and they take it out on society also because they don't know how to deal with it.
Matt is so spot on about being absolutely clear when you make any sort of arrangement with another person. I lent a guy a quarter once to signal ring his girlfriend and I got in trouble for it. If you're walking back from your job to the 1/2 way house and you stop to take a pee in a public restroom somewhere, you get written up for eluding your officially designated route without prior permission. Everything is geared to get you to "reoffend".
I'm really glad that you got to see your mother before her passing. Love hearing your stories with her. I seen guys lose their mom's when doing time. And they ended up loosing their shit and catching more time or getting lock down in a padded cell .
You should start a real estate advice company. Like Rdap Dan does prison consulting. You should consult on legal rentals houses. Or would that violate your probation terms?
Found you on Koncrete a year ago and love the guy chemistry you have and Danny have with each other. It’s like watching two adult siblings interact with each other. You and Tim Dillon are the only two things that TH-cam has done right, ever. Thank you for putting yourself out there for those who aren’t quite there yet. 👋 I want to be, just don’t know how. That being said, I want to say I’m sorry about your mom. From how you spoke about her, she was the mom that us kinda newbie moms aspire to be. I try everyday. Also, congratulations on getting married. Your rewriting the saying,’Good guys finish last.’ Not in your case. Good Guys Finish First. 👊
Glad to see someone like myself, that didn't fall back into old habits of making money, when the odds are stacked up against you. Way to easy to say fuck it and get that money the easy way. Not so easy to do it the way you are. Congratulations my dude.
I remember every week we had to write 10 examples of thoughts we had, during that week, about how we considered reoffending. If you dare to say that you DID NOT have such thoughts, you were called "uncompliant' with the process and considered for re-entry to prison or jail.
I was still polite when I was in prison 🤷 nothing wrong with saying thank you...and I still said sir & ma'am too.. Nobody ever said a damn thing about it.. Ppl liked me more because of it really
Yes sir there is definitely a separation anxiety when you leave there. People dont get it until you do time and life is precious and different afterwards.
You know this story reminds me the overwhelming feeling of getting out into the real world when I got out of Arizona prison Cimron.. ugh They don’t prepare you for that.. Good old moms.. You mothers are the best…❤
Matt I'm obssessed with your videos. Your voice is soothing, your adorable.. Even though you say you're a narcissist, however, you have a sweet side when you talk about your girlfriends and your mom. Everyday I come home and tell my hubby something else about your story. Lol He's thrilled!! Haha Your a survivor! Your gonna be successful again, it will be due to the podcast and your artwork this time! Never give up. You have alot of fans.
I thought he was more sad about his mom but i totally understand. I lived in group home as a kid. There were a bunch of others i miss dearly. Its deep man. Stay strong. Always
Loved this series Matt. Not just for the algorithm :). Another comment mentioned your breakup- which if you made a video on I'd also gladly listen to. You're about the only man I can say that about unironically lol. edit: dude the part you teared up at, speaking on your final farewell to Coleman, stopped me in my mental tracks. It was touching seriously.
It’s weird because as a correctional officer it seems like saying please and thank you goes a long way. Even though me asking is a directive, I don’t ever have to seem like I have to give actual directives. My unit knows I can be nice or I can be an asshole, I don’t ask for much but what I do ask I expect it to be done. The biggest thing is don’t be stupid. The best advice I can give to anyone is don’t owe anyone anything. If you get anything from anyone it is expected that you give them something in return, either right then or later.
I've heard the sandwich story before, but I got a chuckle over hearing it again. Makes total sense, about how you have to behave in there. You're having to adapt to the lowest common denominator in there, so that's the personality and behavior that prevails. Matt, question for you about prison, (I bet I'm the only person that's asked this, lol). When you were talking about how the prison recycles the clothes they give you upon release, and the uniforms that you get upon arrival being old, but washed, it got me wondering about the qualify of the laundry in there. I'm one of those people who is germ anxious and for the past couple of years, I've not had my own washer and dryer to use. I'm really picky about how things are washed and it's been agony, not being able to always control how well my stuff gets clean. Does the prison wash stuff properly? Like do they use decent laundry soap and hot water? Or is everything still half dirty when it gets back, because they use cold water to wash, cheap ass laundry soap, etc? Just curious!!
Thanks for sharing this stage of your journey/growth. Also the bit where you said you would work at McDonald's just to show them that say freedom is hard. Good stuff👍🏻😎

Happy to have listened to the whole series :)
Nice!
This is all so interesting! Great content.
Love your stories !!
🙂
My first I heard. Loved it!🎉
Yeah man ,I really enjoyed watching your story and just subscribed .. good content and I can relate to some of that.
This is one your most interesting stories. You are a fantastic story teller.
Dude, you are one of my favorite people to listen to. I hope to meet you one day.
The cutaway for the patreon is hilarious

@@InsideTrueCrime I definitely will
A lot of those guys are never getting out, unless it's in a box; or will get out and go straight back in for the rest of their lives in an endless cycle. There are actually a lot of mental issues here, and previous trauma, that cause prisoners to not be able to rehabilitate, and they take it out on society also because they don't know how to deal with it.
I learned about you from Konkrete. And, your interviews on Konkrete are what kept me going back to Konkrete. Great partnership.
Awesome! I appreciate it. Do me a favor, subscribe.
@@InsideTrueCrime I did, a while back!
Another amazing video Matt! We definitely need to hear her side of the story and all these crazy stories from her side😂!
Matt you’re the man!
I'm really glad that you got to see your mother before her passing. Love hearing your stories with her. I seen guys lose their mom's when doing time. And they ended up loosing their shit and catching more time or getting lock down in a padded cell .
Always enjoy the prison stories.
The best podcaster in the game
You are the King, Matt!
Man I'm just learning about your page. I'm a huge fan.
I'm just catching up on your videos.
The video I've been waiting for!!!
I appreciate you leaving a comment. I actually did a Koncrete a week ago. 🙂
@@InsideTrueCrime On it. Thank you!
I suspect that the inmates generally had a certain level of respect for Matt because they knew that he was smart.
No doubt
And funny... Being funny and likeable goes a very long way in those hell holes.
In the land of the blind, the man with one eye is king.
It's very true in prison being smart goes far.
I've been waiting for this story good one 👍
Glad to see someone like myself, that didn't fall back into old habits of making money, when the odds are stacked up against you. Way to easy to say fuck it and get that money the easy way. Not so easy to do it the way you are. Congratulations my dude.
This has been entertaining; been watching since the initial Koncrete podcast. Finally joined your Patreon!
I remember every week we had to write 10 examples of thoughts we had, during that week, about how we considered reoffending. If you dare to say that you DID NOT have such thoughts, you were called "uncompliant' with the process and considered for re-entry to prison or jail.
I felt the same exact way on my release day. I felt guilty because I was going home, and my closest friends were staying behind. 😔
I totally understand. 😕
Very entertaining Matthew, you're an excellent storyteller keep up the good work and stay out of trouble
I was still polite when I was in prison 🤷 nothing wrong with saying thank you...and I still said sir & ma'am too.. Nobody ever said a damn thing about it.. Ppl liked me more because of it really
I have been binging on these video's. Lo e the content.
Yes sir there is definitely a separation anxiety when you leave there. People dont get it until you do time and life is precious and different afterwards.
I only did a year but I think we all feel that shit man. You experience a trauma with all these people and know there are some legit good people.
You know this story reminds me the overwhelming feeling of getting out into the real world when I got out of Arizona prison Cimron.. ugh They don’t prepare you for that.. Good old moms.. You mothers are the best…❤
Thank you 🙏🏼
Matt I'm obssessed with your videos. Your voice is soothing, your adorable.. Even though you say you're a narcissist, however, you have a sweet side when you talk about your girlfriends and your mom. Everyday I come home and tell my hubby something else about your story. Lol
He's thrilled!! Haha
Your a survivor! Your gonna be successful again, it will be due to the podcast and your artwork this time! Never give up. You have alot of fans.
You truly have a hidden talent to be a great stand up comic.
Amazing Content man
I thought he was more sad about his mom but i totally understand. I lived in group home as a kid. There were a bunch of others i miss dearly. Its deep man. Stay strong. Always
congrats on 64k subs COX
Thanks!
@@InsideTrueCrime your story is so crazy man. Especially when you didn’t pay any restitution in jail cuz they were to lazy to check your file 🤣
I know, right? I got so lucky.
Nothing better than listening to this man when at the gym
Loved this series Matt. Not just for the algorithm :). Another comment mentioned your breakup- which if you made a video on I'd also gladly listen to. You're about the only man I can say that about unironically lol.
edit: dude the part you teared up at, speaking on your final farewell to Coleman, stopped me in my mental tracks. It was touching seriously.
28:26 "Social Security fraud..."
"Ah-alright, Jesus Christ."
😆😄
Loving the pod
You’re a god damn master fucken story teller Matt 🫵
Awesome story bro!!!
Enjoyed listening to you. Made me smile of how you finally got together with your girl. 😊😊😊
😮 Matthew breaks this down exactly how it is
Ha! Matt, your imitation of the "Brothas" in your room is hilarious!
Thanks for sharing this stage of your journey/growth. Also the bit where you said you would work at McDonald's just to show them that say freedom is hard. Good stuff👍🏻😎
I appreciate it.
