This guy is like nothing else, his story is fascinating and even more so you just wouldn’t be able to tell all the things he’s done and the sheer amount of money he earned in the game from a glance by looking at him. He’s the definition of low key and extremely successful during his time in the game. I really like how he tells his story and his vibe, excellent podcast!
This was one of my favorite episodes of "True Crime." Such an interesting story & I bought & read his book, "Pressure" & he had a very intricate approach to his alleged business. I personally loved it ! Thanks, Matt, great podcast...
@@InsideTrueCrime Matt your interviewing style is getting better and better. I always thought you were a strong story-teller in your own right but your ability to keep your guests on track telling their stories is one of the main reasons your stuff is getting watched to the end.
Kick ass show! Big props from Canada. Spent a few summers in Plattsburgh just south down the road from Montreal. Glad to see that Eric is doing well and living the legit and righteous life!!
Great interview! I'm so glad you encouraged him to keep getting his story out there! It would be a cool documentary, movie, or series! I hope it becomes something!
This dude is chill and humble. This is a guy who was moving trailers and notice how he tells his stories unlike that other clown that’s been doing rounds claiming he worked with the cartel moving 50 units at a time 😂
Great interview Matt! Hope you're doin well, and see if he would come back. Sounds like there's more to his story that he was a bit hesitant to tell....
Matt, just bought the program, ive read every barbed wire backstory on the website and dont remember seeing the program so I bought my first e book, you rock!
This was definitely my favorite interview yet Matt! I loved his story! I think this would make a one killer movie! I’d even read his book and I hate reading,
Bodacious! Been my new favorite channel for months now. I used to clown on people addicted to true crime podcasts and tv shows. Can’t get enough now haha 👐est side!
FASHION TIP FOR MATT: Love you in orange Matt, when we age a person ahould add somecolor to their wardrobe. No prints, just some color. Black, white and grey dont do aging adults any justice unless its a suit. ❤❤❤❤❤Just my opinion but worth a thought.. Try wearing more color it looks great on you. It helps one to look vibrant, youthful, attentive, oh, one more thing ditch that red on the walls. Use cinnamon or a burnt orange. 😊😊😊😊
There was a Vice episode about that professional mountain biker trafficking bud years ago and when I heard the bug in the trailer part I put it all together. I knew it sounded familiar but it’s cool hearing his side of the story and what happened before she came in.
"I've got 20 feet deep koi ponds on my property in upstate New York that I swim in," Followed by "crime doesn't pay." Based on my math this man might have like 45 million dollars in gold after he got out.
Great story. It is interesting how these individuals always say they returned or forfeited all the ill gotten gains. I wonder why they surrendered all the gold or cash or if they really did. Keep them coming Matt.
I am from Plattsburgh, NY and two of my friends at the time was a part of the 01 coke bust. All there is in Plattsburgh, NY is drugs and lots of drug bust. Shocked he didn't get busted in Plattsburgh.
I’m from Syracuse and I am 39 what he’s talking about and what you are talking about was my heyday we always had people going to where you are for college and this kid in my neighborhood father was from lake George so let’s just say I know both places well from Syracuse
Great interview Matt. When you were talking about that guy digging up that gold with that Ponzi scheme, I thought you were playing a joke and talking about you turning in the guy you’re interviewing lol. 😂
People don’t realize that in the late 90s early 00s, in many cities and towns there was really only garbage weed from Mexico, this BC Bud, or local homegrown if you could find it. So guys like this were really helping pioneer the mass demand for good weed in the USA. Now in the majority of states nobody really cares about weed or people smoking it.
Made over 300 mill and turned in only 10. Now he's just starting businesses left and right. I don't care but it's interesting to see that the void that causes criminals to commit a crime is the same void that makes them seek the limelight. They want people to recognize their genius.
Crime is a drug with an allure it’s hard to describe. I was arrested at 21, over 6 years ago, and every now and then the craving pops up, but it’s easy - especially now - to “resist” that. Methamphetamine more addictive for sure
He's a rear breed. It seems they're not many around who will refrain from tattling, when they get caught and drag others down with them, to save their own hide. True G sh*t.🤐💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

@JimmyJaime-su5px what in the hell does that even mean?
This is one of my favorite ones so far. I looked and didn't really see any other podcasts with him. I hope this blows up.
Me too. 🙏🏼
You don’t have a very good bullshit metre buddy.
Sadly YT will suppress it 😢

I’m from Syracuse this guy was actually the real deal he’s not embellishing or telling any tall tales everything he’s talking bout was facts
Amazing episode. White and black t-shirts added to the “tension” of the stories. Great guest and host chemistry.
😂 agreed
Interestimg point on the opposing color shirts. Maybe it adds dramatic tension
Good point, like ‘white hats and black hats’ in the old cowboy movies, it helped us identify who was the goodie and who was the baddie 👍🏻
Classic melodrama film technique
Craziest podcast Matt’s done
Great interview! That’s one of the best guest you’ve had on! Definitely would like to his documentary or movie!
Kick ass show! Big props from Canada. Spent a few summers in Plattsburgh just south down the road from Montreal. Glad to see that Eric is doing well and living the legit and righteous life!!
Possibly your best guest great story worthy of a movie.
Great interview Matt. This guy did a good job on telling his story. Hope you and Jess are doing well kiddo..

I saw the clips on TikTok.. and was immediately interested in his story.
A great episode
This guy definetly calculates his moves
A master chess player at life
One of the best quotes I ever heard from several cops , " we only catch the dumb ones . "
Great video Matt as always, this guy seemed very relaxed and controlled. Cool f****ing voice
Good interview Matt!
Its wild that I cant get a liquor license to own a bar bc im a felon, but they allow felons to operate marijuana businesses
Another good story 👍👍👍👍☺️☺️☺️💯💯💯💯

WOW Stanage watches are amazing! I'm gonna buy one for sure since Matt says they are awesome!
i was up in school at SUNY Plattsburgh in the year 2000 and what he said was all valid.
Lmao that "What was your question" was so wholesome as a recovering pot head that short term memory struggle hahaha
Great conversatuon. Another kickass video, Matt!
These types of things never last long when a woman gets involved
😂 Ain’t that the truth
Solid interview Cox!
Great video! The black and white tshirts are a very cool contrast - someone else said that too, but it's true 👍
This would be a great movie
Man it would have been nice to hear an hour and 40 minutes of his story.

Liking the upgrade in the studio not sure when u did it I just realized it tho!
