You're not lying I did 30miles yesterday and was just getting warmed up 😅 haven't rode much this year so it took about 15 miles before the breathing and heart rate stabilized, honestly probably my longest ride for the year so far! Haven't done a 50 or 100 miler this year yet, keep up the peaceful rides!
Well done Steve. Back last summer I set myself a goal to complete a 25mile charity ride in April of this year, which I was delighted to complete in just over 2 hours. Since then I have regularly ridden that same route but not really gotten any faster. Last month I decided to extend the distance to 30 miles but came up short by just half a mile due to forgetting to make a slight loop around a village en-route. Your video has inspired me to try again so wish me luck. FYI: I'm a bit older than you (I'll be 70 in October) but we have very similar cycling backgrounds. Keep pedalling mate 😁
@@stevegoodfellow3423 Get back out there and do the 30, the sense of achievement is great. Good luck! I had a similar experience to yours when I first tried to do 25. I planned the route on Garmin Connect and yet when I got back I was half a mile short of the 25 miles.
@@steveallison3751 Done! I repeated the route but managed to remember to take the loop I missed the first time and you're right the sense of achievement is great 👍 Thanks for the inspiration 👌
Well done, like the bike and tried one on 2 occasions but can't seem to get on with it, don't know why as it was the kind of bike I was looking for now that I'm getting too old for the stretched out racing type bike that I've always had. Did you find that at first or was it ok from the first ride.
@@jimjohnstone8665 I had a Trek Checkpoint that I didn’t really get comfortable with. As soon as I got the Revolt I felt at home with it. I guess we’re all different shapes. Keep trying out different bikes till you find the one that fits.
Getting overtaken as if I'm standing still - happens to me regularly. Well done Steve.
great riding and great advice, thanks!
Well done, Steve.
