I don’t think I represent the masses but I’m definitely super hype for Innistrad remastered next year

I think people are a bit tired with Innistrad. Not that Innistrad isn't cool. Gothic horror and good story tellling/ Flip cards are always cool. I think it's really more about Crimson Vow and Midnight Hunt getting extended in Standard. It just feels a bit like the player base can't get away.

    Hey Travis,
Just wanted to say that I love your channel. We are a larger LGS in Louisiana and getting your perspective about things that we are going through as well is nice and refreshing. You're offering a great look into the LGS space and I appreciate it. Hopeflully I'll be at GAMA again next year and maybe we can chat about how you became the largest game store!

Thanks so much. I appreciate that. I do my best to try to frame for customers and potential retailers sort of what we deal with on the other side of the counter. Thanks for watching.

Hoping to hear about how you like each product for MTG. For me, I've noticed bundles are selling more than play booster boxes for me now, and commander decks are just the best selling product so I keep ordering more and more. Collector boxes are increasing in demand as well. I find the theme of the set really determines how successful the set will be overall. If the set has strong cards, play boosters will move, otherwise the theme of the set is more important for moving the other products. I find extra commander decks and bundles are the best for sitting on, followed by collector boxes.

Sy thanks for stopping in. You have a great business. I agree with your assessment. I put Collector boxes a bit higher just due to how little space they take up compared to the other two. Commander decks would be higher for me if there wasn't an assortment to deal with. If you look at them from a value standpoint typically we get one deck that outshines the others, two that hold value and 1 that ends up being garbage and sometimes that's two. Don't get me wrong. I've been carrying Commander Decks from the beginning and I don't have any old ones in stock so even the slow sellers eventually go they are just a bit of a space hog.

Would love to hear your take on MTG Arena, subbed with the last vid and looking forward to more

Thanks so much. I'm not sure if I have an entire show worth to talk about Arena. I think for a platform it's okay. It feels a bit dated and clunky and just overall needs an overhaul from a look perspective. I think it could be cleaned up and polished a bit more. It would be better for streamers if there were more animations. Honestly for people that don't know Magic it's a pretty boring game to watch. As a retailer it hurts. For as much as it could do for training and recruitment to paper the cost is so minimal that the gap between the digital and paper is a bit higher than I would like. If playing online came with a 20-30% discount instead of where it is now I would appreciate and find the platform more cohesive with what I am trying to do at retail for the game.

FF being best of all time? Hot take. Beating LOTR will be tough.

FF has multiple fanbases under its umbrella, most of which are under served but eager to spend. FFXIV fans in particular are rabid for any merch they can get. It being standard legal widens the player demand for the set.

MtG feels more divisive than ever, but I think it's bringing in more than it's losing, so from a business stand point it seems to be doing well.

Hmm. I've never thought of Magic being divisive. Sure people have their favorite formats and some are louder than others but I feel like the community is solid to each other.

@@traviss9612 Sorry I should have been more clear, it's divisive on it's direction, specifically UB.
