I so love Nora's playing and singing so. My dear friend Shlomo Pestcoe was her music teacher from age 6 and he's always been so proud of her! RIP Shlomo.
It's so easy to deeply love this sweet intelligent amazing incredible young lady. From 6 years old, to this second, this prodigy girl has been so focused on learning the bango and these songs which has taken some of these never before recorded songs, that's been passed down and through the woods, and she's bringing the authentic depth of these songs to all of us here in the 2022's. These never heard songs, are deep history, and this child prodigy Nora Brown, adds deeply sincere treasures of her own and we can "feel" these songs due to Nora and her passion. THANK YOU NORA BROWN FOR BEING THE SWEET TREASURE and SHARING YOUR COUNTLESS BLESSINGS🙏🌻🎶🌲✨️🎶
Super love you Nora. You are both a national treasure and a world treasure, plus, many treasures to millions of people. I strongly believe that you can post your own originals, and singing about the beautiful things going on. Balance is one of the keys of life. You've honored the past. Now, shine your own "gorgeous" light Nora. You can sing about amazing awesome sweet things that you've seen and experienced. How can I support you? I want do something nice for you if I have a way to so. You are a genuine RARE treasure of greatness Nora. You bring so much joy, to myself and countless others. Thank you Nora 🙏
Just started following you Nora! That second number sounded East Indian. You have amazing talent and have studied. It’s obvious. I’m 69 and you are taking me back to the early 70’s vibe of the music I love.
The journey song was written for thier son Meril, died in a farm acident , one week after my son & I saw he and Doc at library show in Las vegas NV. Song is same tune as old Scotish seaman song
The only thing better then a banjo concert in an empty cheese cave would be a banjo concert in a cave with lots of cheese. What can I say? I love banjo strumming and cheese. That doesn't make me a bad person, don't judge me!

I still think that John Cohen's banjo should travel with Nora for the next 70 or so years. The display case at the Library of Congress can wait.
She's undoubtably a banjo prodigy but her voice also is something really special .
Just so everyone is tracking, John Cohen (whose banjo she is playing) is also the guy who the Grateful Dead named the song "Uncle John's Band" after.

Old Time music is in good hands
This young woman is actually 143 years old.
It`s not just that she is a great singer and banjo/guitar player. But it`s her interpretation of the old time songs that sets her apart.
