    Yes, hello, can you please address the part of the journey that involves going from virgin nerd introvert purple belt hobbyist to jacked tattooed chad mat enforcer brown belt?

      Haha not sure we have the experience to properly address this stage of the BJJ evolution.

      Get a tattoo. Train hard as hell. Study BJJ and your BJJ everyday. The rest will fall in place bro. Be yourself and be confident in doing it.

    Getting mine was kinda strange.... we were talking with Dan about it leading up to the lockdowns, then we had to take about a year or so off proper training. When we came back in we had classes limited to 10 people, and I got mine while I was teaching one of those classes. I had no idea it was happening that day so I was lucky enough to have a few of my regular students and long time training partners there, and my wife was actually in that class too. So it was nice and sentimental, but very different to how I ever would have envisioned it happening compared to all our other gradings in the years passed. Still a very special moment though after years of time and work put in.

    12:20 we have a blue belt "test" like this. 2 hours of nonstop movements like bear crawls, no water no piss breaks, then you are completely exhausted and "roll" for an hour with fresh people.

      @@irsh2786 I think only one guy had to stop and go but he tried it already sick with pneumonia or something. We had a guy born in the 1950s complete it so I figured if he did it then so can I and I did. This is after you've already proved yourself to be a blue belt. The test is there to filter out quitters. This is Team Vaghi which the internet famous Daisy Fresh is a part of .

    I got an odd question. My coach always uses me for technique demonstrations for class. I’m just a three stripe blue belt. I feel like I’m fairly technical and have to be because of my size disadvantages. And I’m just curious as to why. Do you guys always use one specific person? If so, why?
    Also, I’m fairly good at feeling the technique and then going and doing it with minimal issues depending on the complexity. So idk man. Like I said, odd question.

      @bulletproofforbjj  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Coaches tend to pick the student they feel understand the technique best as this makes their job easier. Not entirely sure but take it as a compliment.

    • @badxradxandy
      @badxradxandy ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you smaller because I see them use smaller people because they're easier to move if the coach is tired or hurt

    Can a weak 145lb male reach black without doing strength training? Will he be required to heat purples and browns that have 60lbs of strength on him before getting black?

    The new wave of grappling is actually teaching BJJawesome students to become more and more process-oriented, rather than finish/submission oriented. That is a healthy mindset. How do you apply that to nogi grappling ?

    • @bulletproofforbjj
      @bulletproofforbjj  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No sure what the best answer is but it is always better to focus on process.
