2016 warriors were the best, before KD, STRENGTH IN NUMBERS, 73-9, Curry made 400 3s, they didn’t loose their first 20 something games, top offense and defense. It was crazy. If their big man Andrew Bogut wasn’t injured in the finals the warriors would have won 4-1, but after he was injured they lost 4-3.

Draymond makes all of that possible. His ability to bring the ball up court, push the pace, make correct reads and on point passes. That’s just what he does on offense. At 6’6 he’s more valuable on defense. He’s their anchor, their voice, their enforcer, and help defender. He might not bring a ton of value to other teams but in that system he’s the battery in their back.

Yeah, Draymond is a perfect fit in SanFran with the off-ball movement and the ability to control the defense. BUT, it’s the exact same way with Klay, who would be just an elite 3&D role player anywhere else. Klay literally becomes Brown/Tatum when he tries out his “handles,” or is asked to lead on both ends of the floor.
Draymond in Detroit, Brooklyn, LAC, and Boston unlocks other players by getting teammates the ball where they like it, and handing out defensive assignments on the fly on the other end. That is a very unique skill set but one that a lot of teams are looking for.
On the other hand, Draymond’s playmaking skills would be wasted/redundant beside: Luka, Dame, Kylie, Beal, Harden, (Year 20) LeBron, KD, Booker, and Jimmy Buckets. As they are all ball-dominant on offense, and don’t / won’t keep moving when off-ball to create the passing lanes that make Draymond effective.

KD warriors was the best KD ever, that era was just unstoppable for the warriors, KD's synergy with the warriors was like "the missing puzzle piece" It fitted so perfectly like it was supposed to be there to beging with. If he stayed the warriors may or may not be having their 5th already, KD became greedy and left the warriors after losing one or two seasons thinking the dynasty was over.

try and section everyone off into heavily contested isolation plays. effectively push the range and try and clamp on the ball handler. this would obv require a team half put together on 2k and half in real life.
Only team with 3 20+ ppg scorer’s that I’ve ever heard of. Shit is hard to beat, even if your other two starters are bad and only average 9-10 ppg you’re still gonna get 85 or more points out of your starting lineup. In a league that’s averaged around 110-115 ppg for the past decade that means you basically can win games with a bottom 5 bench unit bc your starting rotation is so good.

Not just double teams. The entire opponent's defense focused on trying to stop kd
Go and listen to those interviews properly. They focused on Steph because that’s the guy they knew they could stop or at least affect more. KD can literally shoot even over a double team so they let him score with a single dude to try and manage him. Not to mention they knew KD wasn’t gonna chuck 20 shots a game anyway which was really his only problem.
