    Great tips. I am in a gap year preparing to start Med school next July. My wife and I are also expecting our first baby in February so I am really anticipating the challenge of getting into a solid routine in those first 5 months after his birth and before school starts!

      Congratulations!! It is definitely going to be a challenge finding consistency with a baby, but the more consistent we can make our lives before our babies come, the easier it will be maintain (at least in theory 😅)

    JR this is gold and currently what I am trying to work on to improve myself and be more productive. I agree that motivation alone will not get the work done but building good habits and being consistent with them will lead to more productivity and continue to motivate me to do it regularly. Here is what I currently have:
    Morning: get up, make bed, stretch, drink water, journal (things i am grateful for and a goal)/pray, listen to npr, brush, shower, get ready, then eat breakfast, then i'm off to either studying or work.
    Let me know your thoughts. I had to write it all out to just be consistent with it until it becomes second nature. I try to write out what I have to do the night before and pack my lunch and lay my clothes out the night before to save time.

      This is awesome Milan!! 🙌🏽 Building that into a habit takes time, determination and discipline! But I am sure you’ve seen a TON of benefits from that morning routine. I love the prep you do beforehand (making lunch, setting clothes out, etc.) to save time in the morning 🔥

    I start everyday with 20 minutes on the treadmill. Still working towards that 5 a.m. start though, as I used to be a night owl. It's not easy transitioning to being a morning person, but I think the rewards are worth it.

    In these days , my motivation to get out of bed is to have some sunlight which comes though my window into my room, if I wake up late sunlight would pass by my window by that time . So I wake up , get fresh , sit on a couch near window , take sunlight and study some important key points on my phone for about an hour while my wifi stays switched off during that time.

      Hey Dominic! I think you’re already off to a great start because my one tip would be to start establishing habits that will make being a good student easier (i.e. consistent sleep schedule, a study routine, etc.). That will make the transition that much easier!

    how do you train to be discipline

    • @EvolvingMedic
      @EvolvingMedic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That’s a great question and I may end up making a short about it. But essentially, the more times you make promises to yourself and keep them, the easier it will be. From telling yourself you’ll wake up at a certain time and doing it to saying you’re going to work for an hour straight without distractions. When you keep promises with yourself (big or small) your disciple starts to develop
