You did well....I'm often surprised how people can dig up a tree that's been in the ground for years, cut off almost all it's roots and wire it into a small pot and the thing actually grows! 8 months ago I bought two Bush Cherry saplings, they were literally as big around as a toothpick and they have exploded with growth and one is now 9mm thick and the other 7. They took to wiring so well. I just repotted them and the size of the root system was stunning! I'm subbing, you know what you're doing and are interesting! From Colorado, USA
The fused roots that you were taking about that you dislike are called "Turtle back" roots. It would be good if you could do a follow up video on the progress of this tree after such drastic root pruning at this time after leafing out.
Ahh thank you Mick, I appreciate that 😊 Yes there will absolutely be updates, I've already plucked off some of the leaves to ease pressure on the system xx
Wow Becki, you are getting bold. The roots didn't seem to be active yet, so I think this will be very successful!!!
Gosh I hope so Nigel. Development had definitely stalled, so this will either be kill or cure 😆 Oh boy! xx
Katsura is such a beautiful Japanese maple cultivar, with great colour all year round. Mine has just opened with a vivid orange colouration.
It's gorgeous isn't it Jason 😍 I've recently got a young "Phoenix", it's Spring colour is almost pink! xx
How's the tree now. It's such a lovely tree I wouldn't have done that. Good luck.
Hi Kevin, I'm keeping a really close eye on it, keeping it watered but drained and I've plucked some leaves off to help balance resources 😊 Xx
Beautiful tree Becki! Hope it does well.
Thank you Raymond, I hope so too xx

Guy, thank you so much 😊 I really appreciate it xx Keep my updated on your trees and their progress xx
When I repot a tree out of season I provide shelter with good lighting for a few weeks. It helps with the reduction of water demand 🙂
😊 Thank you for the tip 😊 I've also plucked some leaves off to help balance things out xx

GOOD JOB , BETTER LATE THAN NEVER I RECKON , YOU MAY WANT TO PLUCK A FEW LEAVES OFF TO MATCH THE ROOTS .🌳👍
Yep, I've started doing that, and pinching out any shoots that are starting to extend. I'll keep you updated 😊xx
Для обучения хорошо подходят фикус или мирт, но точно не клëн. Это был хороший клён, давайте помолимся 🤣
Спасибо 😊
