@@CharlieFollowssometimes I get scared when doing a Handstand even on a wall because I can fall so can you make a video of how to do a Handstand without fear
@@mariamnidaKicking to wall isn’t the trick. It’s finding the right balance point in the pelvis to pull away from the wall. It took me years to find it.
I can touch one of my feet to the wall, but then I just come down. I am trying to get my butt to touch the wall, so it's easier to keep my legs on the wall.
You are not alone. My wrists used to ache so much when I first started. My first teacher was in her fifties, I was in my teens and she put me to shame 😂 it does get easier, the wrists just need time to strengthen and then eventually you’ll be holding down dog like it’s nothing
Every single video of Charlie is so helpful because of the tone of voice is so calming, the method she shows are are easy to follow and instantly gives you the motivation to try it 🐐
POV you've been in gymnastics for 17 years and realize that though this video is not for you it is helpful for others learning a skill which is fundamental in your greatest passion ❤ Anyways, wishing everyone the best of luck! Be patient with yourself, it will come. Don't forget to develop that arm strength so that you can hold it longer. See you on the flip side. 😊🙃
I first learned a forearm stand (against a pole instead of a wall, haha), and the real turning point was remembering to engage the abs! I was pushing and pushing my arms into the floor - sometimes it's really the less obvious muscle group that makes all the difference! Having achieved the forearm stand, I thought I would progress to handstand in no time - uh, NOPE! miscalculation 😂😂😂 but I haven't given up on my slowwwww approach. It's gonna happen eventually (I hope). 😁
the only person who teach more talk less.. finally found someone who cam teach slowly and clearly.. feel like come in person and learn from u... thank u sis for teaching perfect comfortable easy waysss❤
Thank you so much for this, I saw alot of ppl saying to start at the wall and I didn't succeed, but I will try this This is why I follow you, you're so real and a good teacher 🥰
Thank you I really appreciate your kind words, I'm always trying to keep things real and make it known that these skills are hard. It annoys me when people assume that others can do what they've spent years practicing.
Very helpful, I saw this video like 3 weeks ago, practiced it everyday since and now I can kick up to the wall confidently almost everytime, thank you ❤
Thank you I can see you actually want to help people and not do it for clout I never feel like that while watching a tutorial thanks so much I’ll get my handstand very soon I can feel it!!!
Tysm! Ive been trying to do a Handstand Like this a Very Long time And ppl Just told me to kick my legs But that didint work Until I found this video Tysm Again!
Your explanation is really charming ❤ Unfortunately, my wrists have been damaged (got a surgery), and I can't even do planks. I hope that "light" yoga exercises will help me to recover step by step
Like im almost 13 Ive got no classes near me and i started yo learn by TH-cam ❤ I am now way flexible than before and im gonna restart my self training first day already almost kicking up to the wall❤❤❤❤ Thankyou Update: My house is a bit small for me to practice like it is big but not spacious so i went to the park and gym everyday to practice Like i was doing an exercise after 2 months so i had a backache a little one but I skip for a week and then i started again 3 days ago and i can do it now just need to build up the confidence to do it frequently Update 2: I did it!!!
Day 1 and I couldn't even reach the wall while jumping on one leg. The fear of falling and breaking the neck always catches me. Can you also tell us the precautionary measures to not land hurtfully?
This works well for people who have good flexibility in hip and hamstrings… the prep pose shown here itself is advanced level for most people.. i can handstand for 2-5 seconds right now.. what helped me was learning a head stand (being comfortable upside down is a big step), and doing walk walks facing the wall.. I will try this today
OmG omg idk how to thanksksksksk youu I’m 14 years old it’s my dream for gymnastics especially handstand and handstand bridge cartwheel etc but I’m in gymnastics on my right leg is good also I couldn’t do handstand until I saw ur vid popping up I touched it to see any help then…. I did the tutorial and I couldn’t believe myself I did HANDSTAND !!!!?????????!! omg OmG tysm! Thank you so much I appreciate itttttttttt OmG god blesss youuuuuuuuuu❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I followed every step, but still can't in any way even when I'm comfortable to kick my legs on the wall. I've tried multiple times for a couple of days, but still can't, is there anything that can help with it?
personally as a gymnast if you can’t kick your leg up try doing lever which is basically kicking your back leg up putting your hands on the floor bc if u kick your back leg to soft you aren’t going anywhere and also your supposed to start standing
nah u just need control and balance but first warm up when your ready to fall try to kick back and you dont need alot of strength but this still works and it helps when you practice your balance
For me, I knew how to kick up but I didn’t have the confidence to stay there. All it took was my cousin simply holding my foot to the wall to help me stay that first time. If u do it once u can do it a thousand times - so having someone to help that first attempt’ll make a massive difference
Simple and best method explained....😊 But dear sister you should tell how mand day we needed to get practice.... In one day we can... Tell step by step or day by day
I'm to scared to kick up to the wall because I'm afraid I'll hit my head, this video I think will help alot because all the learn to do a handstand videos are like "ok now you'll do it against the wall" and then I'm like "I CAN'T DO THAT"
Is there a way to learn this without kicking/hopping up? Because that's what freaks me out. I would rather invest more time and learn how to do it more slowly but controlled. But I don't know where I need to start with that. Is this "just" about arm/shoulder+core strength, or do I also need to work on something less obvious like, let's say, hip flexibility?
You are so genuinely empathetic and really really calm😍
Thank you that’s so kind of you to say

32 days of yoga for me and I’m still working on downward facing dog. It seems impossible sometimes, but your videos help a lot❤❤

It's a slow process but being regular will get you there. Yoga is amazing.

I have quite a big chest. Would that stop me achieving this? I'm not overweight though.
Trying doing Anna mcnulty flexible body stretch. It helps a lot 😊

Now that's a positive comment :-) Charlie's handstand advice actually did help me to get further, so... I'm getting there, yay!

I think this is the most helpful video in TH-cam about handstand
It's way harder than I thought it would be.
I used to do this with no training or build up when I was in preschool/Kindergarten just for fun. Thinking about it now it looks so scary.
Same I could do a handstand and a backflip when I was 8-10 years old😅
HAHA YEAHH
Wow😮
if only you would've kept practicing since then...
Thank you this helped alot ❤
