The only symptoms that I have are poor acceleration past 60 mph or so. Also when going uphill. Other symptom is smell of gas from my tailpipe. The vehicle is a 95 Cadillac DeVille with a V8 Northstar engine. Do you think it would be safe to say that it could be the fuel pressure regulator and if so, what signs should I see to know if the fuel pump is going bad as well? I’d appreciate any help you can give greatly! I’m having troubles finding videos on my specific engine type.
Usually when your fuel pump is going bad you'd get hesitation on acceleration and occasional sputtering. As for the fuel pressure regulator I'm not sure as I have a gas smell in my engine bay and it's been that way since I fixed a broken hose leading to it😂.
