      @@MoorlanderEDC I ended up ordering two. I tried my planned set up today.
      One worn on the front of the chest and the other around the waist with the pack in the small of the back.
      That gives me 4L capacity for the essentials I need when I will work at the office. Usually my backpack is too full so I love the additional capacity the extra pack allows me.
      For normal non-work EDC I just wear the one on the front of my chest. I normally have a backpack or will from today be using the Maxpedition Valence sling bag so some things can be kept in there.
      But I like having travel passes, wallet, phone and keys in front of me with easy access. I have attached a Hazard 4 Big Koala to the chest pack which acts as a secure wallet and easy access point for my travel pass.
      I love this carry system.

    Good review. I have one of these on order and I plan to use it as a waist pack for cycling. I like how you told us about the fit as a waist pack. Some people knock it for being too small but there is an entire category of small EDC packs out there, for people who want less bulk and weight and are willing to travel with less.

      Hi Martin. Really sorry it's took so long to get back to you. It's great to hear you enjoyed my content. I think this makes a great waist pack. The harder shell allows it to stay place in the small of you back easier than normal softer style packs. I can imagine this will be amazing for cycling. I'd love to hear your thoughts when yours arrives and you start to use it. Have a great week Sir

      @@MoorlanderEDC Thanks! I will definitely comment here with a mini-review on how it works for cycling. I'm an urban vehicular cyclist doing 1,200 miles a month and I'm going to put it to some serious use. For reasons of comfort and cooling, I'd prefer not to use a backpack so I'm hoping to find a good waist pack for cycling. However, I do like the option for using it as a sling pack, if I need to switch it up occasionally on a long ride.

    I have this Sling / waist pack ... although its a bit clumsy on the waist but as a sling it just slides down under the shoulder while walking. I tested for a couple of months and im back to my Hazard 4 Plan C

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I did find it slips down. I found it did less on cotton shirts and tshirt. I'm trying to get my hands on a Plan B or C. Hazard 4 have some great products. Thanks for watching Rahul, I hope you're safe and well

    • @unrealtrip
      @unrealtrip 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rahul Dobhal it looks like it needs that second strap most sling bags have to come around from the other side.

    • @msjohncox
      @msjohncox 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wonder if affixing some scratchy Velcro to the inside of the strap, where it goes over the shoulder, would help with slipping. But that might not be too comfortable with a tank top or thin T-shirt.

    @majoroverkill1376 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It is a great pack but I find it a little to small. I have the extra thick shoulder pad and orange lock and tie down as well. A 4 liter pack would be great but 2 liters is just not enough. Great video!

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Doug, having used it a quite a bit more I agree. It's a very specific type of carry bag. It's great for carrying the essential for city breaks and maybe travelling... but you're definitely limited. I'd have been more than happy it was an extra 100mm longer to give some extra volume, or have a zipper that runs the circumference of the diagonal zip compartment so you could removed it completed to open the the pack more. Thanks for watching and commenting fella, have a great week 🤘

      @@MoorlanderEDC The current size may be perfect for certain applications. Maybe it would be good to make a larger model of the same pack, for people who need the extra room. It's like the next size up with this styling is a backpack, which is too large, although some people would say the backpack is too small I suppose.

    I bought this a while ago here in Australia. Quality is great, very sturdy and worth the money for what you’re getting but I would have rather had molle inside both compartments to make it personally configurable.
    Also, when it’s slung, the hard cover makes it hard to open and slip your hand in - if that makes sense? - you kind of have to unzip the whole side.
    I really like it but can’t figure out a way to use it because the inside organisation is a bit crap.

    • @Owl566
      @Owl566 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also, the material used for the bottom part of the sling is extremely strong and sturdy, but the upper section of the sling is actually kind of weak in comparison

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Totally agree! I think it's a fine balance where they have that security of the hard cover and easy of access. I'm hoping this isn't the last we'll see of this. I'd be interested to see where they go with a MkII

    • @msjohncox
      @msjohncox 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have heard other reviews mention this also. Because it's designed to be worn over either shoulder, the hinge is at a small end and you have to open the entire thing to get anything out but then you risk any unsecured contents falling out. Putting the hinge on a long side would eliminate this but then it wouldn't be as suitable for dual-shoulder use.

    Hi there. As far as Hazard 4's website says, as well as one of your responses to a comment, I know a Nintendo Switch would fit in this perfectly (and be bullet proof, as you'd say hahaha), but I'd like to ask another Switch-related question.
    Do you think a Switch Dock would fit in either the double-open pocket in the front or in one of the slip pockets in the back section of the bag? For reference, since you said you don't own a Switch yourself, the dimensions of the Dock are "approx. 4.1 inches high, 6.8 inches long, and 2.12 inches deep". (Numbers are from the Nintendo website)
    Great video by the way, I was looking around for reviews for the bag and after seeing yours, I'm definitely inclined to getting one, whether the dock fits or not. Thanks for the detailed review, you just got yourself another subscriber :)

    Hazard 4 should have a gray color option on all their bags.

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely. Part of me thinks this is almost like a prototype for a future model. Only having the two versions helps to reduce costs and they can scale it if it becomes popular. Which I guess makes sense and it a pure guess form me. It's a cracking sling back for sure. Thanks for watching and I hope your well

  • @supervf1

    Will this fit a Nintendo Switch?

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a cracking question. I don't own one myself. I think it'll definitely in the double open part with the Joycons removed. The double open pocket measures 165mm x 100mm x 45mm (or 6 1/4 x 4 x 2"). These measurements are if you hold the pocket square. The sides will fit something up 125mm or 5", but this expands outwards so the high comes down quite a bit. Both the Switch and Switch lite will 100% fit in the top pocket (with the diagonal zipper). Hope this helps buddy... A Switch would be pretty bullet proof in here. Thanks for watching and commenting
