Jung so min’s acting was so good as always. She really brought so much depth and fully expressed Naksu and Bu yeon’s duality. It was a pleasure to watch her in this role
They deserved better and suffered sm. Especially Jang Uk, constantly being denied whether it be his dad, mu deok/nak su, or the people who pray on his downfall. I love this kdrama so very much
I really miss Mudeok soo much and I really hope there will be season 3 because I just really love everything in Alchemy of Souls and if there will be season 3 I hope that it is still same characters and Mudeok will be their to ❤ so I really hope that will happen

My take on this drama and season 2 coming will be that Naksu will overtake the body of Mu-deok/Bo-Yeon in the end. To start with Bo-Yeon should not have been born, she was a still-born baby, until her mother begs Jang (father of Jang Uk) to place the ice stone and she was born with that power inside her. That is why she was able to locate it when that unfateful day when she got swept and thought drowned in the river. Since Naksu no longer has the physical body, as it was burned. I believed that Bo-Yeon was just waiting to correct everything, and will later make the ultimate sacrifice to be eliminated together with the ice stone, to make the world safe. Her soul will be gone but the body will remain, the same as Naksu's body. In the end, Jang Uk and her can now touch one another knowing that she is the only one in there.
It started with jin seo ran going to songrim to save naksu from alchemy of soul and went back to sari village, and then brought her to jang uk. Same as in season 2 after recovering with the help of master Lee.
I liked part 1 and 2 but more the part one of this series. Even I f she was alive in Jyn byeong, her behavior was totally different from naksu in Mud oak's body so it didn't hit the same way.
