Season 1 with So Min was iconic. Mu Deok and Jang UK had a playful, intense chemistry that couldn't be replicated in season 2. It was a bizarre decision to replace the female lead after 20 episodes building her. I mean, what.
Firstly, the chemistry of s1 is indeed different from s2. But the chemistry in s2 is oozing and we felt it. I also have a concern with how they built Jung So Min as Naksu in s1 and not show the original main lead again in the next episodes. They should've kept us in the idea that the original female lead is GYJ when they have a chance. But, they seperated us to that idea in s1. That's why in s2 many people are not comfortable with the original female lead. But nevertheless, s2 is successful and is also liked by many people, even the ones that doubted GYJ.
GYJ acting is a bit flat and bland to be honest. I only watch S2 to follow the story but im not really into the actors. S2 still owe it’s success to S1. And let’s all admit it that JSM was really exceptional. I can’t help but compare.

Her previous roles were always the ones with miserable life. She is used to acting the suffering of the character. A bubbly character is also a dream role for her and she did well for me. It's just that she's not used to it yet and is still learning abt it.

I chose this at random having never heard of Ascension of souls. I nearly clicked off when I saw it was Korean but thought no, give it a shot. I am so glad I did. I am up to episode 8 and having found out there are 30 episodes I am ecstatic. I am in love with everything about this magical , enchanting, endearing, funny and wonderful story. I love all the different characters but especially Jung-uk and Mu- Deok and their beautiful chemistry together. I pray to the Goddess of love (not really I am Christian lol) that these two end up together. I am avoiding spoilers but I think I know what happens …. I don’t know how I feel about it as I adore them together, these two actors. And Jung-Uk is just so beautiful I can’t tear my eyes away- as are they all, their skin is Korean glass perfection . Is it possible to hope for a season 3? I never want to leave their world

I do get it though, it’s the soul connection and I see the double meaning to the Title, there is true alchemy between these two souls .
Missed tantrum jang uk😂 but make sense his character here is 19yo and season 2 he was in his 20s and went thru traumatic experience thus he’s a bit depressed.. i feel so sad for him in s2 but loved the storyline regardless

In season 2 you can feel the chemistry between the actors, and Jae-Wook is very good in battle scenes (he stole many hearts), looks confident with sword, older and sad at the same time because of missing Muedok (unbelievably attractive man). I highly recommend to watch it.

I want a S3 with domineering and fearful Jang Uk like he was in S2 and domineering buyeon (yoon jung) like she was in the beginning of S1
