    Having developed true multi-modal hybrid motors, as opposed to merely fitting out traditional combustion motors with electric capabilities, the Jogger HYBRID 140 guarantees:
    A pleasure to drive in all conditions thanks to enhanced electric driving capacity, even when accelerating.
    Excellent fuel efficiency, especially thanks to the automatic transmission feature when coupled with the clutchless dog box
    Efficient regenerative braking and high battery recharging capacity. The culmination of years of experience for Renault Group in Formula 1 and electric vehicles.
    These features mean the Jogger HYBRID 140 can run in all-electric mode up to 80% of the time on city roads, for 40% fuel savings compared to an equivalent petrol engine in urban cycle with similar driving styles.
    Kinetic energy can be recovered during slowing and braking, then transformed into electrical energy to recharge the battery. The battery can also be recharged by using the ICE motor using energy management rules designed in a way to run at optimum output (for example, when Jogger is on the motorway) to get the most power from the fuel used. This means the battery charges whenever energy output exceeds the required power.
    Excess energy can then be used to alleviate pressure on the combustion engine during hard acceleration, or to ensure a full-electric ride when the preferred route goes through urban zones.

    climatic system impact in consumption is according to the outside temperature. Your filming seems to be done around 20-23 degrees outside. it is another thing when you have 35-40 degrees on the road. Edit: since you said 14 degrees outside, no relevant impact from the climatic system... Do a tests at 35 degrees outside and you will have 0.5 liters more, at least

    Can you explain the pros and cons in driving in "D" versus "B" mode ?

    • @Theomba1
      @Theomba1 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      "D" mode is better for drive in the open roads when you don't want to lose speed when your leg is removed from the pedal.
      "B" mode is better for declines and city driving, where you need to slow down more frequently and more intensely.
      With Hybrids, more engine braking means more power to the battery. And the pros are those you need at the moment you are at. It is good to have those options and that you can switch while driving.

    • @DeclanCarey
      @DeclanCarey 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Theomba1 Thanks! I've read that changing often from "D" to "B" wears out transmission faster and using the breaks and wearing those out is cheaper in the long run. What do you think?

    • @Theomba1
      @Theomba1 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@DeclanCarey Well, that could be true, I do not have real live experience with it. However, I don't see a reason for changing modes while driving. If you are in the city use B, when you are leaving the city you can switch to D at some point while waiting at the traffic light. I assume there is no additional wearing if you are making changes while stopped.

    • @SDADanCars

      Santos in B mode the car have same power but when you release the acceleration the car will regenerate more energy in battery, will act like a brake but from electric motor

    • @EngnGnr
      @EngnGnr ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You should never use b mode and use the gas pedal at the same time, b mode is simply to regen the energy with the help of engine braking. That's why when you drive even low speed the engine was screaming

    • @Daumex
      @Daumex 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@EngnGnr Incorrect: B mode does not use engine for braking, it uses the electric motor as a dynamo to return regenerated electricity into the battery. The reason the car isn't always in regen braking mode is because some people aren't used to their car braking on its own, so it's good to have an option for that, and on a highway you might wanna keep the speed up.

    • @EngnGnr
      @EngnGnr 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Daumex I have a chr hybrid and trust me I know what is B mode is, you can regenerate more energy by doing the regenerative braking yourself, tested and fact. B mode does regenerate too but you lose some of the energy by engine braking.

    Salut Dan je vous aime bien mais c'est quand même maladif et consternant ce besoin que certains testeurs (dont toi) ont de faire des essais intégralement en mode B. Le mode B n'est pas conçu pour optimiser la régénération mais pour générer du frein moteur ce qui est totalement contre productif dans une optique d'efficience, sauf en longue descente. J'ai simplement le sentiment que vous ne savez pas conduire correctement un véhicule hybride. La règle de base de l'efficience en hybride est le "pulse and drive" qui vise a reduire le maximum les echanges inutiles avec la batterie, échanges qui génèrent des pertes. Vous faites tout le contraire 🤣. Je pense que vous devriez suivre un stage de conduite hybride ou bien à minima lire les modes d'emplois des véhicules (!).

    • @SDADanCars
      @SDADanCars  ปีที่แล้ว

      Barennes from what i know and also on Dacia website you will find info’s that said : B Mode - ideal whether you are in town or in the mountains - this mode accentuates braking during deceleration phases and increases regeneration on energy back in battery. Not all B Modes are the same. As you said Toyota ones is different from this one 👍 But good point make me research more
