I was born in May of 1964. When I was two, I remember my parents playing these songs on the big stereo system. I'm in my 50s now, it's seems just like yesterday. My peers act like they know who or nothing about Ronnie Dove. I'm don't know how much radio airplay his music got. He wasn't on MTV in it's early days, so I'm one of the few in my age that know who he is.
I LOVED THIS SONG AND STILL DO. I ALWAYS SANG IT IN THE SHOWER WHEN I WAS DATING MY WIFE 52 YEARS AGO MY FAMILY USE TO SAY BOY YOUR REALLY IN LOVE. . I NEVER KNEW IT THEN BUT I GUESS I WAS AND STILL AM. 50 YEARS MARRIED AND STILL IN LOVE .
Timing is everything. Ronnie had everything but that. He couldn't compete withe the Beatles or Stones. But, damn it all to hell, the man could sing a ballad like few others at the time he arrived. He just wasn't where it was at when he came on the scene. But, damn. Just listen to this man. This is a guy who was born to make you feel down to your inner core. Thank you, Ronnie. You were the best.
My fiance whom I met when I was 7 and he was 8 we grew up friends close friends families were close as we grew up we found each other in a romantic way but then the war came vietnam yep he was drafted we planned to marry when he came home but he didn't come home as he left god took him instead. Still all these years later he is still in my heart and silly but it still hurts. So this song when Liking Turns To Loving reminds me of him we liked each other as we grew up then fell in love when we grew up. You know funny but he was the first boy I kissed and I was the last girl he kissed before he left for deployment. Panel 40E, Line 34, on the Wall RIP Vaughn never forgotten.
I know you don't remember me after all of these years Ronnie. I was one of the gang that you hung out with down in Gardenville in the early 1960's. Your voice still makes me cry sometimes.....miss those days man

I have been to 3 of his shows in Baltimore Md at the VFW , a friend of mine knew him and introduced him to me I was so excited to meet him I put out my hand to shake his hand and he said Darling that won't do he hugged me and kissed me on the cheek it was so cool I sang Right or Wrong at the bar after his show and he stood there and listened to me and said to me you sang that better then I do I will never forget those times I saw him perform he was so great and so wonderful to his fans love you Ronnie always.
I hope Ronnie has gotten away from Baltimore! The Riots, Shootings, and what has been in the news lately has been bad. Donald Trump's Tweets on Twitter haven't helped Baltimore.
I have loved this song for approximately 50 years. Still as beautiful today as it was the first time I heard it. What a beautiful voice!
