I like to believe that if our ancestors would have known that someday there would be an invention that detects metal, and there would be future generations digging up the earth to learn of them, they would have left us more. So if you must litter, please litter coins and jewelry.
Haha! I was definitely weeding out the short attention spans with that as my first target! lol I love a funky first find. Appreciate you watching as always Brandon! ATB Greg
Greg, the Victorian button was over the top. Wonderful person finds. The mystery item could be the top to talcum powder? So happy you finally received the permission to hunt there. It was meant to be. 👍👏😀🇺🇸
Thanks so much guys and once I figured out who to ask for the permission, it was the easiest permission that I ever had. Great people! Thanks for the help with the mystery find and I will have updates on them next week! ATB Greg
G'day Greg, You say you found a button of a similar age with a Dragon on it, perhaps you just found George! Ive been eyeing off an old town hall in a small township nearby, built in 1890 next to a lake, I just have to get the nerve up to chase a permission for it. Crossing my fingers! Seems they didn't have room for the extra P on that odd item. Cheers Mate!
Thanks so much for watching Marcene! I do have some good news that the Finding America coffee mugs will be back soon too. :) Hope you guys enjoyed this one. Take care and ATB Greg
My suggestion for mystery at 5:57ish is the main counterweight,on which you could install extra weights on top...for an old weighing scale in a grocers store
Nice show Greg. That buckle piece, pretty cool with your history investigation on it! I liked that thing. You do a wonderful job on your videos showing us the before & afters! And of course all the photos that you put in of better times. Good luck buddy! Rk.
Thanks Richard and I have to thank David Parrish with his help ID'ing that old buckle. Always glad to hear you liked the episode and the pics of better times. I hope some might be inspired to strive to get back to a life in America that's more simple and wholesome. ATB Greg
Thanks so much Rob! I really appreciate you watching each week and that reminds me...the Finding America coffee mugs are going to be returning soon! :) Hope you enjoyed this one my friend and it's always great hearing from you. ATB GReg
I'd never heard of picture buttons before, had to look up more images!---Once again, odd items showing up in odd places...that wrangler patch?!---What was going on at that two-story house...moving in, moving out, renovating, storm damage repair???
Thanks for the help Joan. The rotors were spinning in my head but I just couldn't find the word while sitting at the hole. lol I appreciate you watching! Take care and ATB, Greg

I was thrilled finding that picture button and the chopper was definitely a surprise to see. It even let me get a train pic in the episode. LOL Thanks for watching this one! ATB Greg
Without looking at the previous comments I’m sure someone has told you the blades on the helicopter are called the Rotors. The Main Rotor and the Tail Rotor.

I think the big brass misspelled thing might be a part from an old water meter
That buckle is awesome. The one with the arrow inside. I found the exact one. Is it military? Great hunt.

It's too bad GM didn't make that concept Corvette.
