salt water etching

This is a safe and non-acid way of etching copper or brass. The process I use is for jewelry making and I teach my high school students how to do this. The ingredients you need are: Kosher salt, distilled water, D battery and battery holder, wire caps (small), plastic container, copper or brass sheet, type of resist such as a sharpie.
