@@BusMaster99 That's one thing I don't like about the newer Schindler fixtures. They're too sterile, prone to breakage (glass panels and very expensive parts), and the limited option for controls such as lights, fans, and independent service.
Hold function should be tested, While in the hold position. The doors should not close or accept any floor call. This is very important to test. If that does not function correctly someone could take the elevator, leaving the fireman behind.
Incorrect, when the fire hat flashes, it’s because a smoke detector in the hoistway, pit, machine room, or machinery space has activated. It also does not mean it will shunt trip. Yes it is possible, but shunt trip should only be possible if those areas are sprinkled.
@@BusMaster99correct, I was referring to the elevator code. Not specific to that model. Also why I mentioned the shunt trip is only in sprinkled areas, not specific to that elevator. Because I don’t know if that shaft is sprinkled.
I am glad you got permission to do fire service.
I'm glad I finally got to do it. It's something I've always wanted to do.
@@BusMaster99 That's awesome
This elevator is great and I love this demonstration.
Proud to say I'm first to the comments even though no one else on the Internet cares! 😂
Great demo! Always wanted to see this on a 3300.
Same here. Glad I could be the first to do it. Thanks for the kind words!
Now that is really interesting how the fan shuts off when the Phase-2 operation is turned on.
Yeah I agree, especially since there's no way to turn off the lights and fan since there aren't switches for them in a 3300.

@@CenTexElevators489 Indeed. It's why I prefer Kone.

I did put it in hold during the demo, but I will remember to make sure the buttons are disabled if I get a chance to do this again.
When its flashing it means a smoke detector in the hoistway has activated and a Shut trip would ensue. Rendering the elevator useless.
Correct, even in fire service. If this happens, you would switch the emergency stop switch from RUN to STOP and evacuate the elevator.
Good to know@@BusMaster99

@@Lsxtransam83 The Schindler 3300 has no machine room.

6:52: If you do, the normal elevator restoration won't work!
Also what kind of key does it take?
