Great semolina tip. I "par boil" my potatoes in the microwave for about 3 1/2 minutes (depending on the wattage). When finished I drain them -bash them up a bit. I then heat up duck fat in the airfryer. Note: You can freeze duck fat. I find that if you let the duck fat melt then fill up the fat in ice cube trays. Freeze. Once frozen you can transfer to a zip lock bag. One cube is the perfect amount for the air fryer.
Hi Tracy 💜 Thank you so much for your tip on freezing the duck fat. I didn't know that, so I might buy some after all 😊 I hope you have a lovely Christmas 💗 x
Omg, they look so yummy 😋.
I'll have to try the semolina tip.
Yep I use microwave too. Less faff.
I just tune in for your greeting , hello my lovelies or welcome if you're new here... I really love this , it's personal and professional all at the same time. You're alright you are Linz xx
Thank you, Richard 💜 I hope you have a lovely Christmas 🎄 x
@@LindzandLife you too babe xx
Hi Lindz, I do my potatoes almost the same. Instead of putting oil over them before they go into the air fryer, I put a bit of olive oil in the base, get it heated up and put my spuds in on 200 bake/roast for 20/25 minutes. I also put Tesco’s potato seasoning on half way through. I have been using semolina for a long while, not only is it good for roasties, it is nice as a dessert.
Years ago, I asked my sister if she wanted salmonella instead of semolina lol, I don’t know what was on my mind at the time. We had a good laugh over it. Wishing you and your family a very merry Christmas. I hope you have a good one❤️
Hi Jacky 💕 I have to pop into tesco this week, so I'll pop the mix on my list. I've not heard of it before 😊 I love that story. It's always the stories that make the best memories 💜 Merry Christmas lovely x
Well done gal , your naivety and haplessness (in a good way) is your selling point for me.
I’ve been ploughed through your videos in anticipation of my Ninja that arrived today.
Aside from your recipes I’ve picked up on the need for silicon tipped kitchen tools , “right width” glass trays etc so I’m just back from B&M’s having over-indulged myself in not-really-needed new kitchen gear
Hi David 👋 I know all about overindulgence in bits and bobs to go with my air fryers and bits I've no need for at all 🤣 I hope you love your new air fryer Happy cooking 😊 x
I have been using Semolina for many years now almost 20yrs works every time even if you do not have an air-fryer, I have had my air fryers for about 2 years now, marvellous addition to a kitchen.
Hi Linda 👋 It's great to hear someone else uses semolina too 😀 and agree I couldn't be without an air fryer x
have a happy christmas thanks for all your great tips🇦🇺
Thank you lovely 💜 Merry Christmas x
Thank you Lindz have a lovely Christmas , kind Regards Dave Can’t wait to do your roast potatoes x
I hope you have a lovely Christmas to Dave x

Merry Christmas Pat 💕x
Oh Lindz...9 potatoes 😆 We'd argue over that in our house "how come you get 5 and i get 4"..."You watched the football last night aswell"..Love roasties done in the ninja and you've cracked the case. I use sunflower oil and i use roast potato seasoning from M&S.
Hi Iain 👋 Oh, that made me laugh 🤣 Have a great day x
Hi Lindz , I do my potatoes par boil like you did then I melt some lard brush the potatoes and then season . They come out just perfect. Thanks for you method😘
Hi Annette 💜 I used to use lard all the time. I'm not sure why I stopped, but I will definitely pop it on my shopping list again x
Brilliant Lindz will be trying that. Thankyou.
You're welcome, Tony 💜 Happy cooking x
My daughter always cooks her potatoes the same way they are beautiful love your cooking tips thanks so much
You're welcome, John 😊 I'm glad to hear your daughter does them the same x

Hi Janice 💜 I didn't know potato seasoning was a thing untill this video and so many have mentioned it. Merry Christmas to you also lovely Xx
Well I wasn't expecting that for your secret ingredient lindz I'll definitely be trying them x
Hi Rosie 💕 You won't regret it there, fabulous x

👍🤗☕🌻🐇🦋🦋🦋🦘🦜❤✨
Hi Sue 👋 Welcome and thank you for your lovely comment 💜 I couldn't be without my instant pot mini now, although I have the ninja 11in1. I think it's a waste of money, to be honest. And the instant pot as its only a mini is more suited for us, and I use it nearly every day x
They look delish I am going to try them and the roast beef recipe you did.I will let you know how I get on. Love watching your videos.😀
Thank you Jean 💜x
I bought a bag of garlic granules on ebay, and sprinkle this on roast potatoes/potato wedges. Like the semolina, it adds crunchiness but also flavour. My son adores them lolol. But otherwise I cook them the same. I do tend to cook my roasties for a bit longer so they carmelise nicely (with the ninja I intend to take them out and shake to get the oil distributed well over the potatoes every 15 mins or so.) I tend to use sea salt as again, its adds crunch lol.
Thankyou for your videos great tip with roast potatoes Hapoy Christmas to you ❤
Thank you Gwen 💜 Merry Christmas x
Thank you that was really helpful 👍
You're welcome Susan happy cooking x
I have recently bought a air fryer,so also new to cooking in it, I bought a bag of frozen roast potatoes in duckfat, I don't seem to have all those settings, like roast or bake, seems it's just air fryer setting, I followed the instructions as if I was doing them in the oven, crossed my fingers and they came out absolutely delicious.I will be trying out your recipes now I'm feeling a little bit braver, thank you,by the way you have lovely hair.
Hi Marilyn 👋 I love them frozen roasties. I found I needed to drop the temp by 20c, then the same cooking time mentioned for fan ovens. I think different air fryers cook a little differently. Thank you for your lovely comment 💜 x
Well those roasties look really good I shall be giving them a try .😊❤
Hi Anthony 👋 I know you'll love these. Have a great day x
Thank you for showing us how to use air fryer for roast potatoes ❤❤
You're welcome, Lee. Happy cooking x
I just park cook the potatoes in a steamer bag in micro.
Add a little oil, air fry for 10 mins on 190.
I do parsnips and carrots the same way.👍🙏
Hi Ann 👋 I've not heard of steamer bags for the microwave. I must have a look for them as that sounds a little easier. Thank you for the tip 💗x
@@LindzandLife You get the bags at Home Bargains and B&M.
Cost about 89p for 10.
Handy if you are doing a lot of veggies.
@annirvin6555 thanks Ann 😊 I'll have to see where I can get them here as we don't have them stores x
Merry Christmas lovely Lindz xxx
Thank you Jean 💕 A very merry Christmas to you also 😊 x
Merry Christmas & Happy healthy New Year Lindz. Take care see you soon xx
Merry Christmas, Karen, and I hope you also have a happy, healthy 2024 big hugs 💜x
Hi Lindz. Those taties look gorgeous 😊 I pressure cook my spuds for 1 minute, not used my cooker hob or oven for best part of 2 yrs now.. I pop them in the crisping basket in my foodi max with the water below them so when they done i can take them out easily. I shake em a bit, leave them to cool a while then drizzle with oil, season and then in my ninja dual i remove the crisper tray melt some lard in the bottom and bung them in there on roast for about 25 to 30 mins depending on whether I over load the drawer or not lol. I always leave some in the foodi for mashing too, can never have too many carbs with a sunday lunch 😁 I shall definitely give yours a go as soon as i get my hands on some semolina though 😍 x
Hi Suzco 👋 thank you for sharing the last time I tried pressure cooking my potato. I ended up with mash so we ended up with baked mash instead 😅 so thank you for the correct time 🥰 I hope you have a lovely day take care x
Merry Christmas Lindz, to you and and yours 🎉 Thank you for all the amazing recipes, tips and general help you've given us all with our air fryers. It is much appreciated ❤ xxx
Just tried your Lamb cutlets and Roast potato's what can I say YUMMMMMY, thank you from Perth West Australia, Definitely going to try the Cottage pie some time this week love your recipes, and how easy you make it look❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Gloria 👋 Thank you for your lovely comment 💜 And welcome to the yt family x
You'll be over the moon with an induction hob as they're brilliant.
We got a single plug in Tefal portable induction hob just to try them out and found it better than the reviews stated, very quick to boil even with large stock pots and they hold an excellent rolling boil.
Of course they are available for installation as four burner hobs which require hard wiring into your circuit, most likely a 10mm connection as they're heavy duty.
Hi Fabian 👋 I took the plunge and also bought a tefal slim induction hob and so far have just tested it and was amazed how fast it boiled water definitely a winner can't wait to start actually cooking with it x
brilliant happy christmas x
Happy Christmas Lynnette 🎄 I hope it's a wonderful one big hugs x
you too @@LindzandLife x
Well that’s a new one , semolina , but yes I’m going to try it…I haven’t got an air fryer as such but I use a Halogen oven come air fryer, to me it has the advantage of being able to see the state of your cooking at any time without opening a drawer , it’s an Andrew James hinge lid model I’ve had it several years now , I’m really interested to see how this Semolina works out because it certainly looks nice and crispy on yours .
Hi Terence 👋 Your halogen oven sounds good. I like the idea of being able to see what's going on. I have a halogen heater, and it's amazing and fairly energy efficient. Semolina is my new favourite ingredient and makes a wonderful dessert also x
Hi Lindz, thanks for this. I've never added semolina but will try it. Got to get some of this Aromat stuff you use as well - failed miserably at Chateau Sainsburys the other day as I couldn't remember what it was called !! For your info, was reading an article recently that said that another important thing to do is to actually let the par boiled potatoes go cold - haven't got around to that yet.
Hi Roger 👋 I've not heard that tip before about letting them cool. If you have a tesco near it should sell aromat. I normally pick mine up in lidl or aldi here x
I must try semolina. I have just purchased an air fryer come roaster, come griller seems to do everything hmm😊so I am going to have a go at your roast potatoes 😂
I only discovered Semolina too as Mum was using it on the roast potatoes for Sunday Dinner. As it's nearly Christmas I thought what Christmas food do you add Semolina to!? 😂
Hi Anna 👋 Semolina, It makes a great dessert. Also, I like to add chocolate chips to mine after it's bowled up 😋 I also have a recipe for Semolina cake x
Excellanto amazing looking spuds. I was thinking of doing this myself for Christmas dinner being new to the Ninja ☘ 🐑 Couldn't find a daffodil ☹
Hi Dave 👋 I think we will have to complain about the lack of daffodils in the emoji world 🤣 I hope you do have a go at these they are delicious x
@@LindzandLife Certainly will try this method.
I never seen semolina been used before but I try it thanks
Hi Patricia 💗 It works a treat 😀 I hope you have a happy, healthy new year 😊 x
Yummy I par boil mine I have tried sprinkling with oxo
Hi Brenda 💕 I actually have that written down to try with your name beside it 💜x
its just gone 3 in the morning but don't worry I know I said it before im up as soon as possible and out to Argos to get my ninja 7.5 lit air fryer its 150 re just for 240 so ill defo be bringing it home. im in a wheelchair and tried to get one but was unable to get it home on the chair but tomorrow I will have help. can't wait.
Hi Lovely 💜 That's an amazing price. I'm so glad to hear you have help collecting it 😊 Happy New Year and happy cooking x
Thank you they looked very tasty. Hope they tasted the same.
Hi Karen 👋 They are lovely my new favourite way to cook them x
I kinda do the same, but mix in some fat / juices from whatever meat i'm having! 👍
Hi Phil 👋 That's the same as I used to do when I was doing a full roast in the oven x
Hi lindz. Def try semolina. I par my potatoes in microwave for 7 mins,no water, just a plate covering the pots. Then put into air fryer.
Hi Maria 💜 The microwave is definitely a lot less hassle and I'd say cheaper x
@@LindzandLife 🤙
were did you get semolina from and what does it do.love the video.watching them all.
Hi David 👋 thank you for being here 😊 I got mine in a little local shop but as far as I know tescos sell it. It just adds a really nice crunch 😋 Can also be made into a few different dishes like a dessert x
Hi Lindz.Does the semolina add any flavor or is it just for some crunch?Best wishes to my favorite cook!😉
Hi George 💕 It just added the crunch 😋 My best roasties to date. Hope you have a great day George take care x
Happy Cristmas Lindz have a fab time Lindz what's your advice I bought a fresh turkey crown today that says use by 26 th Dec today being the 19 th do you think it will be safe to eat I have not unwrapped it or do you think I should freeze ir
Hi Brenda 💜 I've been having awful trouble with meat not lasting over the last few months, I thought my fridge was playing up, but after checking it, it's fine, so I'd probably freeze it lovely I'd be worried otherwise it would be off on the day x
I understand why your using semolina but is it a necessity as it’s got milk in it and my son can’t eat it is there an alternative
Hi Vicky 💜 Its definitely not necessary I've tried self raising flour and it kinda worked just next time I'd use the sieve to sprinkle over as I just spooned it in and had some interesting lumps 🤣x
190 celsius is 374 fahrenheit,not 325...good vid,btw
Thank you, Micky 😊 Another mistake to add to the list 🤣 I really need to double check things more x
Mine doesn't have roast or air fry aetting
Hi Pam 👋 Is yours just the dial settings then I'm sure it should work the same lovely x
Old joke.Do you know the difference between a chef and a cook? A chef doesn't do the dishes.😂
🤣 I'm a part-time chef/cook then, as I only do them sometimes x
