This is the reason I liked that Fates didn't have gender-locked classes. Now imagine if that was retained in this game and they also brought Dark Flier back.
Wow makes me sad the Malig Knight didnt make it further along since thats Wyvern rider with magic attached, seems almost perfect for him when Dark Flier isnt around.
Yeah sadly in the world of FE franchise, pegasus tends to dislike mens just like Frederick mentioned in first FEW game and Subaki mentions in Fates that Hoshidan pegasus is one of the few breed who accepts mens as Pegasus riders, and thos type of pegasus are extremely rare too, Malig Knight would be great for a magic flyer class for male units if Only dark flier were in 3 hopes, its too bad that Falcon Knight lost the ability to use support magic since healing staves and spell tomes didnt exist in 3 houses and 3 hopes
Hubert’s Dark Conjuration is really fun to use. Before unlocking Hades, i’d trigger it three times if enemies were caught within the long going Banshee. But regardless, Hubert is a beast no less
I finally got Hades on my Hubert and I got all the skills you’ve mentioned in this video, it took me an entire day of grinding and it was worth it, so much fun to use and very powerfull indeed, all is left is the weapon you’ve mentioned in that video and I’m almost there for Ngp for crest stones, thats so much for this video
Holy shit what and bonkers OP build. I think it’s insane that Hubert’s unique ability does not even have a cooldown or anything. It’s far too easy to juggle enemies infinitely that using him in Scarlet Blaze almost feels like cheating for me. Good stuff as always
When i played Three Hopes again after a while and my brother saw Hubert both character- and gameplay-wise, he immediately called him "Fire Emblems Malcador the Sigilite". And i haven`t build him to the point of your guide yet.^^

Also now that we know that apex skills are bugged and essence skills dont work on them id love too see an updated build for all the lords, maybe even in one video since u already got all their skills and maxed their levels, btw i love that you show the stats of the chars at the end, keep doing that!
I think I remember reading somewhere that Hubert with a bow can rack up his unique ability "Dark Conjuration" pretty quickly. Think you can try to make a build like that that'll work?
For sure. But I'll have to get to it when I'm done the other characters. Hades actually builds a max stack of darkness spike every cast. That's the biggest reason I taught it to him.

Nice to see some else showing off part of how broken Hubert can be. And yeah as a speedrunner Hubert gets some of the build but not all of it sadly. Please note routing is still being worked on to help the run but build wise for him it's something that's been looked at.

I've been routing the base camp side of things and can tell you when it's all done new game at the very least is something I think a lot of fans of the game might like to try. Because balancing the builds, base camp and in the battlefield stuff ends up feeling quite fun while trying to go fast in the game.
Finally got Hubert fully maxed in classes. So after a reset I got him with pretty much this build but with a magic staff and scholar tome with arts and crit rush over to synergize with his ability. Replaced dex cat for apex tome. As I'll gain decent special from crit rushes and food effects. plus as a passive I feel it helps for tactics mode. Your builds do seem to emphasise meter gain quite a bit which can be a bit redundant if you know where the awakening and special pots are at any given map. Not that you'd need them since combat arts are buffed so much. Potentially could hard lean on it by replacing aggression for armsthrift but a 100 weapon rarely needs re-upping in durability honestly. Especially when you can and often need to switch characters anyway for the main story maps and paralogues.
Yeah some of my builds are heavy in the warrior awakening gauge section, others not so much. I lean into whatever the character has. Usually if I dont have a good reason for adding a warrior ability, its because they lack any better abilities to replace it with. Your better off boosting something, then just throwing a non beneficial ability in.
Every character has hidden moveset that they can learn from other characters. You can't know the moves until you try. But in short how to even try- you need to max out their affinity, then play with them as adjunct until you get the move.
I have a copy paste for this; Both units must be paired up. Teacher unit must be in the active position. the one being taught must be in the Adjutant position. Teacher unit must have mastered the Art or Spell. Basically, get it to Lv. 3. Adjutant must have an A rank in the weapon type that the art you want to teach belongs to. If it is a spell, A rank in Tomes is what is required. The Art or Spell taught must come from the teacher's preferred classes. The unit being taught the Art or Spell cannot learn it naturally through mastering their own classes. If all of these requirements are met, the teacher can teach the Art or Spell to the student by using the art until you see it being taught. Keep in mind that some Arts or Spells cannot be taught to others, even if they otherwise meet all of these requirements.
When I played 3H, I never got enough Dark Seals to make Hubert a Dark Bishop. He was stuck as Dark Mage forever. This will be some nice redemption for him.

Ya you have to ether grind your units up in preparation to tango with Jeritza aka Death Knight or grind just enough to not be one shotted by him and use calvery effective weapons and the combat art that gives effectiveness to calvery depending on the class.

I think a build like this goes much better with Male Shez actually, and it's what I'm currently using with him. He gets more beneficial additives than Hubert (at least 230%+ while Hubert only gets 130% with this build), has better Warrior Guage charging, and still gets all the abilities that really matter (essence of darkness and range master). For me personally instead of Hades and Dark Spikes, I use Luna ∆, which draws in enemies in a wide range and calculates with reduced RES (it says it completely ignores it but I doubt that) Along with, surprisingly, Nosferatu. See, you heal based on each enemy you hit, and with Luna drawing everyone in, you hit a LOT of things. This comes in clutch since Shez has the Lifeforce skill, meaning you always stay at full health while having the massive Spell boost from Lifeforce. It's pretty much always a full heal every time you do this combo. That said, if you don't want to use Nosferatu, I still think Luna ∆ is more useful overall than Dark Spikes as it deals more damage overall with more range, on top of setting up for Hades if you're still using that. It's also worth noting that Shez gets Absorb Speed instead of Absorb Magic. This might sound like a nerf, but with the way damage calculation works, I think it's the opposite. This can vary on class, but generally speaking, your MAG/STR counts twice as much as the Might of the weapon, and then they're added together to make your total overall Might. So having 48 more Magic with 120 to start with and a 560 power weapon gives you a 12% damage buff. However, 48 more speed reduces the cooldowns of your spells by at least that much, AND increases the duration of awakenings which is when Shez is in his strongest state. And who says Asura is the best class?
Yeah I agree with that for the most part. But just because Shez makes an op dark bishop doesn't mean Hubert doesn't. There can be more then 1 dark bishop afterall.
Hubert really feels like somebody you can just point in a specific direction and tell him "anything in your way? Delete it" and he can easily do it. Even following his natural progression until the dark bishop class (which I've done with every character's line through my first playthrough of Scarlet Blaze and am now doing the same through Azure Gleam) he obliterates everything. I'm playing through Azure Gleam and Felix and Sylvain feel the same as he does. Haven't played through Golden Wildfire yet but I'd assume Lysithea is at least one in that group given how broken you could make her in Three Houses lol
Good stuff. Given how he learns Armshift from archer, I prefer that to Dexterity Catalyst, as his Dex isn't too high and he will be using a lot of spells (though it can be argued that at that stage weapons rarely break anyway). Holly Knight Huber with arrow of indra can apply light, dark and lightning status effect. I need to test if exploit status abilities benefit from multiple of them being applied. His stun locking potential is insane, I think he is the character that I enjoy playing the most in this game because he feels like he plays differently and is more interactive with his personal skill.
Agreed, not just that but he feels a little more skill based since you can mess up the juggles timing. If you could double stack elements that would be a really cool way to break him even more. If that's the case could be worth running Hades on a holy Knight with Excalibur. Dark would lower def and res, wind would cause more damage while in the air, fire and holy are just 2 more effects that get thrown on for a x4 multiplier. I doubt it will work though.
Ooohhh Hubert. Yup dark mage Hubert is a pretty nutty way to play the character. If you want to add more damage, just give him Underdog. A lot of maddening enemies begin to out level you at Lvl 120 so Hubert will easily benefit from the bonuses of that lvl difference. The hardest maddening lvl is 170, picture the damage boosts you gain from that. As for me, I wanted to do something goofy with my Hubert so he became a Wyvern Lord. If you know his character, you will know why it's funny to make him a Wyvern lord

Yeah Underdog would be pretty strong, I wonder how big the buff is though. Like could you imagine how strong a level 1 character using underdog might be against a level 170?
Yep. Its funny, when I looked into him initially I didn't see a lot of protentional. Fast forward to today, he has become the strongest build I've made. The thing about these builds is, they are like 90% over kill. Do you need a character to be this strong? No. Is it super fun to just one shot everything? Yes. lol

Simple question, there is weapons that use defensive stats to do damage and offensive stats to defend. With that kind of weapon, would Lindhart be great (as he has absorb resist) ?
@@BurnerRebornGaming He has a ton of good abilities imo, and way enough to do great things. I won't call Offensive Tactics + Wild Abandon + Lifeforce + Essence of Wind + Fiendish Blow lacking; it is a very solid chore. The thing which is problematic is Easy Breeezy which is imo one of the worst personnal ability in the game (like only beaten by Ashe's Wind Stance). You need to accept that, for once, it is "almost necessary" to change it. Because there is one way to make Excalibur completly and absolutly game breaking and Lindhart does that perfectly (and is the only one who can do that if you count out full fed magic Yuri/Ashe) and I m sure you know where I m going. :) One quick wierd tip for Lindhart tho : I think that Warlock is better than Dark Bishop for him because you keep Black Magic Matery and can use Essence of Wind on yyyyx and x followed up and it is actually quite strong.

I didn't list Seteth for the same reason (tho I forgot Claud) And even if I listed Yuri and Ashe, they are not even close to Lindhart because of a few things missing. Claud would be better than Lindhart for that but you need to boost its magic a lot for it.
Burner Reborn Gaming I am building up Hubert to be a Dark Samurai aka Mortal Savant, reason is cause in three houses they can use dark magic and I have Hubert equipped with a ability that he can use the most powerful forms of spells mainly dark spikes and so forth. I made mortal savant Edelgard equipping her with mercurius, no idea what crazy build I will do with others
Yeah Mortal Savant is a really strong class, If I would have turned Hubert into a Mortal Savant, the comment section never would have let me live it down lmao. Apparently I make too many Mortal Savant characters.

The Apex Skills are all currently bugged. Instead of increasing crit damage from 1.6x to 2.4x, it actually reduces it down to 1.5x. The only reason the Apex skills are in some of his other builds is because he's only recently been aware of this bug
Hubert has transformed into a Kingdom Hearts antagonist haha! Do you tend to switch around a unit's battalion or do you change it around to suit the map?
Honestly, I usually just leave it alone. When your making builds at this level, most enemies are 1 shot with or without the battalion. That will be a little different while working towards building him though.
I have heard Holy Knight Linhardt was a good build on SF. Lazy Knight Linhardt? Or lazy something Linhardt if the most powerful class turns out to be something else? Also, cannot wait to play around with Hubert in Scarlet Blaze. On Golden Wildfire right now (also waiting for honorary Deer Balthus. Maybe even Holst?).
I'm trying to remember the exact order, I posted it in one of my polls if you wanna check it out but Balthus I believe is tomorrow and Holst isn't to far after that. I'm really having a hard time figuring Lindhardt out, he seems to be missing a lot of the strongest abilities. Maybe I should turn him into a walking Wall of healing and focus on the tank aspect of his kit. lol
Holy Knight seems like a good class for him. I have him as Dark Bishop right now and he uses Physic + Excalibur. He doesn't really use the basic dark magic spell (Miasma) at all. Although I didn't master Dark Mage so maybe he's missing some skills from there. But I think he probably would work better as a mounted unit that can heal.
I gave Holy Knight Linhardt the skill Luna from Great Knight (reduces def proportional to luck), since his luck stat is so high and his strength stat is good. Coupled with Wild Abandon and Lifeforce, his damage output is substantial. With the Caduceus Staff to passively heal himself and the Lightstrike combat art, he negates the negative effects of Wild Abandon and Lifeforce. His personal is workable since it helps him avoid getting hit. He also learns Essence of Wind and Fiendish Blow, then add Excalibur and he's probably my best unit. If you want him to focus more on healing, you could remove Lightstrike and give him Physic. The healing from the Caduceus Staff is more than enough. You could also give him Asclepius if you want him to be more of a damage dealer. Teach him Dark Spikes from Shez and he can kill cavalry as well. His regular attacks with Holy Knight scale based on his physical attack (which would be Str + Lck if he has Luna) while his combat arts scale based on his high magic stat. He's a strong, well-rounded unit. Edit: Forgot to mention; ideally you would give him a Gradivus with Boost Combat Arts Lv.3 and Resistance Factor Lv.3. Have him learn Absorb Resistance from Dark Bishop and the Resistance Factor Lv.3 essentially converts the Resistance boost into a damage boost.
NG+ lets you move everything over, including items. Then on the "free battles" (aka Record Keeper) there are no restrictions on who and what you can use.

It's also worth noting that Shez gets Absorb Speed instead of Absorb Magic. This might sound like a nerf, but with the way damage calculation works, I think it's the opposite. This can vary on class, but generally speaking, your MAG/STR counts twice as much as the Might of the weapon, and then they're added together to make your total overall Might. So having 48 more Magic with 120 to start with and a 560 power weapon gives you a 12% damage buff. However, 48 more speed reduces the cooldowns of your spells by at least that much, AND increases the duration of awakenings which is when Shez is in his strongest state. And who says Asura is the best class?
Yeah I agree with that for the most part. But just because Shez makes an op dark bishop doesn't mean Hubert doesn't. There can be more then 1 dark bishop afterall.
Hubert really feels like somebody you can just point in a specific direction and tell him "anything in your way? Delete it" and he can easily do it. Even following his natural progression until the dark bishop class (which I've done with every character's line through my first playthrough of Scarlet Blaze and am now doing the same through Azure Gleam) he obliterates everything. I'm playing through Azure Gleam and Felix and Sylvain feel the same as he does. Haven't played through Golden Wildfire yet but I'd assume Lysithea is at least one in that group given how broken you could make her in Three Houses lol

Good stuff. Given how he learns Armshift from archer, I prefer that to Dexterity Catalyst, as his Dex isn't too high and he will be using a lot of spells (though it can be argued that at that stage weapons rarely break anyway). Holly Knight Huber with arrow of indra can apply light, dark and lightning status effect. I need to test if exploit status abilities benefit from multiple of them being applied. His stun locking potential is insane, I think he is the character that I enjoy playing the most in this game because he feels like he plays differently and is more interactive with his personal skill.
Agreed, not just that but he feels a little more skill based since you can mess up the juggles timing. If you could double stack elements that would be a really cool way to break him even more. If that's the case could be worth running Hades on a holy Knight with Excalibur. Dark would lower def and res, wind would cause more damage while in the air, fire and holy are just 2 more effects that get thrown on for a x4 multiplier. I doubt it will work though.

Ooohhh Hubert. Yup dark mage Hubert is a pretty nutty way to play the character. If you want to add more damage, just give him Underdog. A lot of maddening enemies begin to out level you at Lvl 120 so Hubert will easily benefit from the bonuses of that lvl difference. The hardest maddening lvl is 170, picture the damage boosts you gain from that.
As for me, I wanted to do something goofy with my Hubert so he became a Wyvern Lord. If you know his character, you will know why it's funny to make him a Wyvern lord

Yeah Underdog would be pretty strong, I wonder how big the buff is though. Like could you imagine how strong a level 1 character using underdog might be against a level 170?

Yep. Its funny, when I looked into him initially I didn't see a lot of protentional. Fast forward to today, he has become the strongest build I've made. The thing about these builds is, they are like 90% over kill. Do you need a character to be this strong? No. Is it super fun to just one shot everything? Yes. lol

Simple question, there is weapons that use defensive stats to do damage and offensive stats to defend. With that kind of weapon, would Lindhart be great (as he has absorb resist) ?
Yeah probably. I've been working on Lindhart a bit today, I can't quite figure him out yet. He seems like hes lacking a lot of the better abilities.
@@BurnerRebornGaming He has a ton of good abilities imo, and way enough to do great things. I won't call Offensive Tactics + Wild Abandon + Lifeforce + Essence of Wind + Fiendish Blow lacking; it is a very solid chore. The thing which is problematic is Easy Breeezy which is imo one of the worst personnal ability in the game (like only beaten by Ashe's Wind Stance). You need to accept that, for once, it is "almost necessary" to change it. Because there is one way to make Excalibur completly and absolutly game breaking and Lindhart does that perfectly (and is the only one who can do that if you count out full fed magic Yuri/Ashe) and I m sure you know where I m going. :)
One quick wierd tip for Lindhart tho : I think that Warlock is better than Dark Bishop for him because you keep Black Magic Matery and can use Essence of Wind on yyyyx and x followed up and it is actually quite strong.

I didn't list Seteth for the same reason (tho I forgot Claud) And even if I listed Yuri and Ashe, they are not even close to Lindhart because of a few things missing. Claud would be better than Lindhart for that but you need to boost its magic a lot for it.

The Apex Skills are all currently bugged. Instead of increasing crit damage from 1.6x to 2.4x, it actually reduces it down to 1.5x. The only reason the Apex skills are in some of his other builds is because he's only recently been aware of this bug

Honestly, I usually just leave it alone. When your making builds at this level, most enemies are 1 shot with or without the battalion. That will be a little different while working towards building him though.

I'm trying to remember the exact order, I posted it in one of my polls if you wanna check it out but Balthus I believe is tomorrow and Holst isn't to far after that. I'm really having a hard time figuring Lindhardt out, he seems to be missing a lot of the strongest abilities. Maybe I should turn him into a walking Wall of healing and focus on the tank aspect of his kit. lol
Holy Knight seems like a good class for him. I have him as Dark Bishop right now and he uses Physic + Excalibur. He doesn't really use the basic dark magic spell (Miasma) at all. Although I didn't master Dark Mage so maybe he's missing some skills from there. But I think he probably would work better as a mounted unit that can heal.
I gave Holy Knight Linhardt the skill Luna from Great Knight (reduces def proportional to luck), since his luck stat is so high and his strength stat is good. Coupled with Wild Abandon and Lifeforce, his damage output is substantial. With the Caduceus Staff to passively heal himself and the Lightstrike combat art, he negates the negative effects of Wild Abandon and Lifeforce.
His personal is workable since it helps him avoid getting hit. He also learns Essence of Wind and Fiendish Blow, then add Excalibur and he's probably my best unit. If you want him to focus more on healing, you could remove Lightstrike and give him Physic. The healing from the Caduceus Staff is more than enough. You could also give him Asclepius if you want him to be more of a damage dealer. Teach him Dark Spikes from Shez and he can kill cavalry as well.
His regular attacks with Holy Knight scale based on his physical attack (which would be Str + Lck if he has Luna) while his combat arts scale based on his high magic stat. He's a strong, well-rounded unit.
Edit: Forgot to mention; ideally you would give him a Gradivus with Boost Combat Arts Lv.3 and Resistance Factor Lv.3. Have him learn Absorb Resistance from Dark Bishop and the Resistance Factor Lv.3 essentially converts the Resistance boost into a damage boost.

Yeah you get it via new game plus, you can carry pretty much everything with you playthrough to playthrough.
NG+ lets you move everything over, including items. Then on the "free battles" (aka Record Keeper) there are no restrictions on who and what you can use.

Nope. It has to be a class with a blue arrow on it. Otherwise the character can't teach it

@@BurnerRebornGaming Lysithea gets edged out only because her extra damage to me feels kinda redundant. Most situations her crazy damage will shine are quite rare since anyone well built can one shot (almost) anything with a weapon art or magic so having more crowd control in my opinion makes hubert better. But thats just my personal opinion haha.
