I initially was snooping Amazon for a drop in filter replacement in my QX80 but what I had ended up doing was ordering a 3.5" maf tube for the Nissan gtr. I then ordered a 3.5" aluminum pipe and put a cone air filter on the end. I kept the factory slip tube from the throttle body and just deleted the airbox. It's not much a difference than a drop in filter but I'd like to think so with the massive conehead 😅
@@BarkLife true that! It explains why this was my 1st modification to the truck but the engine can only pump so much air. I think for the money, Id save it and put it elsewhere like in a handheld flash tuner or even a piggyback ecu from Uprev would be well worth it! Then convert to run E85 fuel for more timing and leaner a/f ratio but thats just my two cents.
@@BarkLife cams also go along way in these motors. Jim Wolf is somewhat local and I've been eyeing their CS2 cam kit with beehive springs on intake side 🙃

Lol, yeah, I think a good portion of an intake is for aesthetics and that sweet induction noise.
