    My manual did not even mention how to get the red lights on the side working. I thought I got a defective product, but thanks to your video I see it works fine.

    Connect the jump terminals the the vehicle battery first. Then plug the jump cables into the jump starter unit. Reverse the order when disconnecting the unit. Listed under the IMPORTANT steps in the user manual.

    I got one, was pretty rough with it I guess, one female usb plug got loose and failed by coming lose. Then the second female plug broke, so all have now is a jumper with lights. BTW had Dork usb tester attached pig tail volt reader. Was great Velcro my phone to it with short power iPhone cord. Love it.

    How do you charge it back up? You didn’t cover that.

    Does it help the battery life by discharging this device before recharging? The instructions included with mine say that it doesn't hurt to charge more often. Thank you, All.

      I am not sure what maximizes the battery life!

    I purchased this Feb 2022 and didn’t use/needit until today. It quickly died and didn’t work. I guess I should have checked on it since it had been so long since the last charge. Any suggestions? I plugged in the charger and it’s been stuck at 26%

      May have received a faulty one. Hopefully you exchanged it.

    Sorry he didn't read the instructions before jump starting the car. Supposed to connect to car battery and wait till displayed voltage rises above 12v - then crank starter.

      The instructions with mine are very lacking. I’m charging it up now to try and start my car so this tip will help.

    So if this is in my trunk with a full charge how long will it last?

    • @DigitalDavid
      @DigitalDavid  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have it sitting in your trunk turned off, it should stay charged I think! Extreme cold weather might drain it though. I'd check every 6 months or so just to be safe! After being fully charged it's supposed to last for 20 jump starts.

      Just had to use mine yesterday the older yellow model. Had it in my trunk all winter still had 88% charge and more importantly it worked and jumped my can.

      I have the yellow one too. (Correction: I actually have the older all black device. Only my case is yellow trimmed.) Bought it many years ago now. I do bring it inside the house during sub-zero weather and keep it next to my keys and wallet so I remember to have it with me in the car.

    Used mine got the first time ever today to charge my phone and it would stop charging my phone and it was only at 50 % charged

      Interesting! Hopefully you didn't buy it to charge your phone, and it does fulfill its main purpose as a car jump starter!

    DBPOWER 800A Peak 18000mAh Portable Car Jump Starter (up to 7.2L Gas/5.5L Diesel Engine) Portable Battery Booster with LCD Screen (Red) This is Not True.
    False / Misleading Advertising, the one I got only had a Green LED Light on the Jump Starter Cables Module even though the photos on the Amazon Web Page showed it having a RED LED Digital Display. The first one I bought was defective, once I charged it to %100 it would rapidly start dropping to %80 even after charging it over night. Second one still only had a Green LED Light and not a Digital display even when I hooked it to my Car Battery. The Main Reason I bought it over other brands was because of the Digital Display. Also it does not rather or not it has a boost mode that will allow it to Jump Start a Totally Dead Battery and think it actually said the Car battery has to have at least some charge in it in order to Jump Start the car.
    I checked the Model Number on the Box and Jump Starter and they matched the Model Number listed on Amazon so I did not get a different model.

    Does this have the boost button available?

    • @DigitalDavid
      @DigitalDavid  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure what you mean by boost button, but according to their amazon page there is no button that they call a "boost button"
