As an American, the trespassing laws are so crazy to hear. If you go and ride in private property, you’re gonna hear bullets whiz past you it’s kind of awesome
Its a stupid law that does more harm than good in the uk. Although its good for us riders. We have a lot less land in the uk and its crazy expensive because of the demand :(
They don’t bother me as long as they don’t leave litter and trash a place , I’m a mtb rider too. There’s some that use the trails in one of the forests I ride , they are alright , I did stuff like that when I was younger. They slow down when I’m out with the kid so they don’t make me feel like he is in danger. I’m more worried about the people riding them without helmets as I’ve had mates die on bikes and the thought of someone smashing skull into a tree with no protection no matter who they are worries me for their family and friends. Good vid by the way. Also if your ever in Northants way they are trying to get an old max track opened up for them which I also think looks class!
For those riding in the US, we do jump from streets onto MTB trails but its important to not overstay your welcome, just keep moving and take different trails in and out. If you keep ripping in front of the same group, they will get out their phones and have evidence against you. mostly I have found just being courteous and friendly goes a long way on sharing trails. some cities also are enforcing their own rules outside of the state so be aware before you ride there.
Brother, what you just said is super applicable to the uk too - overstaying your welcome is the #1 reason for trouble. You are spot on. Thanks for watching and great comment. I dunno if the law is the same in the US as here regarding pushing but for those super wary of trouble in the UK we are allowed to push our bikes along pavements as long as they aren’t moving under their own power to get to trails :)
Section 59 warning and seizure, at the time of the stop one goes on the rider and one goes on the bike simultaneously. This means if the bike is stopped again and issued one and there is a different rider, the bike is seized. Alternatively if the rider of the bike goes out in a different vehicle, including their own car, the warning sticks with them and should they find themselves stopped again the car will be seized. Warnings last for 12 months.
I never knew about our treaspassing laws very fascinating, ive always rode petrol but got nervy out in places i didnt know, but on my 60v surron its a quiet breeze literally
Good vid mate. Uk law crazy. If u let gravity take u downhill on a push bike you can achieve over 25mph on a cycle path so why not allowed assistance to 25 on flat or uphill?
I had this discussion with a male karen the other day. He wasn’t having any of it 🤣 he had no response, assist only allowed up to 15mph :( a road cyclist will do 30mph on a flat comfortably and 40+ downhill. They don’t have insurance! 🤷
For sure. Although getting common that the police are starting to fine and ticket riders! I think they’re kinda taking a hint from the UK police. It seems the USA and UK seem to be the two countries with the biggest surron/ebike scenes.
Another blinder mate. That's exactly what I mean by the informative nature of your VT's. Completely forgot about the civil nature of trespass but the message to be polite, courteous and apologetic if necessary is 100% correct and the responsible way to act. REMEMBER! - you're always representing - as far as a member of the public is concerned, at that exact moment ,YOU ARE THE FACE OF EMOTOs!! -- you'll only bugger it up for the next rideout posse if you really cheese someone off or wreck a farmer's crops. GREAT MESSAGE - Section 59 sounds a nightmare.
I got a bosche cx line e bike and derestricted it but only goes torque limiter of 28mph. I upgraded the battery but still tiny battery. Best thing is its a custom sleeper using hope tec breaks, crank arm & hubs etc the police never stop me.
Ah wicked bro! I got a turbo levo with a levociraptor chip too! Its a wicked bit of kit - also very fun to ride! Ive had 35 out of it on a flat but its only the 500wh battery model so it drains fast on the roads! Thanks for watching brother!
So if I got a Talaria X3 road legal when I'm 16, I can do my CBT, and ride it at 28mph max speed, but can I cut the brown wire (to increase max speed to 45 or whatever the max is) when I am 17 (I would also get my full driving licence then as well) still with my CBT or do I need another licence above the CBT. Pretty sure cutting the wire would class it as 125cc. Also would I have to switch insurance if I were to cut the wire at 17? Looking at purchasing possibly. Btw great vid.
@@zeadux2095 you are correct entirely about what you just said! Cutting the wire would make the bike class as a 125 and a risk you have to decide is worth taking. You have 2 years after getting your cbt to take your test after this you need to retake your cbt 👍🏻
@stingyrogerr you can register any version. It's 55£ with the DVlA. You have to have an MSVA inspection first. Then you get a reg. Can add number plates etc...
just go ride - leave no litter, don't tear up a farmers field and be polite if you see people, you will be ok - sessions in an area for too long is asking for trouble - use a forest etc but get in and out in a set period, ensure you know several entry/exit routes - tbh there are that many e-bikes in mtb areas now that nobody will bat an eyelid if you are on the trails
I ride like the laws don't exist. It's the risk I take. It's why I mostly watch US content due to the fact I enjoy the street stuff over the offroad (stick to the law) content. But I do watch you and mattfrancis 👌
Ah thanks for watching and i’m glad you enjoy my content! I do plan on grabbing a set of supermoto wheels soon and hitting a local 5 mile long gokart/supermoto track, it closes after 7pm and stays light until 10pm flood lit in summer and is perfect for stunting and some racing. (The gate’s never shut and the owner is pretty chill as theres plenty of signs stating use outside of hours is at your own risk ) Will make for some good content so keep an eye out for that :)
Not applicable for headlands and farm tracks. They are purposed for quads, tractors and machinery and are built to quite literally be torn up. Damage to crops is loss of earnings and youd have to be an idiot to intentionally do that. I do have a farm in the family hence why my position on the laws is so strong having tried prosecution in the past on trespassers, hunt anti’s and criminal damage. The UK law is a joke and you’d have to be brain dead to ride and stick around the same place in a manner to be nicked.
@@Chungleas only if your method of transport to get there was to be silly enough to ride there illegally on the road without a road legal bike. I have my bike registered and road legal on a daylight license i’m also a farmland owner so I’m speaking from experience and the laws from years of dealing with anti social vehicular tresspass such as coarsing and travellers on quadbikes over crops. The police have never really cared but they seem to have a soft spot for ebikes. I regularly host large 20+ mile rides on mine, family’s and other friends land its a great way for people who may not live near a safe and secluded wooded area to have a good day out without the worry of their bike being stolen or being a nuisance
Yes, although my green 72v surron was a road legal model and the extra wiring and harnesses did make it a bit awkward with certain modifications, wiring and space inside the frame! But yes for most this is a good option 👍🏻🫡
Road vehicles arent allowed offroad unless a dedicated green lane which are normally short and there arent many around. Any offroading with a road registered vehicle is more illegal than offroading with a non registered vehicle 🤣 weird I know. Less punishment if non road registered tho
To clarify, the police can issue a section 59 warning to a rider on any land. Public or Private... This lasts for 12 months, not 6... Part of the wording is contrary to sec.3 RTA, or section.34 RTA (any land not consisting of a road or highway - i.e woodland and farmers fields) an in a manner which has or is 'likely' to cause alarm, harassment or 'annoyance'... So if anybody phones the police because they find it annoying... Or if the police have previously had complaints about the issues there, then that meets the 'likely' to cause element... Just be sure to get the land owners permission, and the landowners details so the police can contact them and confirm you have permission. If you have confirmed permission from the landowner, then don't worry you should be fine - providing there are no public rights of way going through the area. 👍
All this is saying is that you can ride these bikes on Private Land whoever the owner is, nothing more. You still can NOT ride these on public roads unless they are road-legal.
Uk laws make no sense!! At nearly 50 always had bikes common sense tells me: If you share a public space you should travel at a similar speed as other users.. simple and safer. Footpath walking= speed. Street= speed limit. Pedal cyclist doing 5mph round blind corners on a 60mph road is as dangerous as 40mph on a footpath. I'm waiting for my chat with PC plod on my talaria before the ok then catch me if you can situation happens caused by the daft uk rule book!! Great vids 👌
Good points mate! Very true, cyclists on country lanes doing 10mph in a 60 3 abreast is one of my pet peaves! I appreciate the support thank you for watching 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hey buddy I’ve been away on holiday for just over a week so havent tested them much since this video but so far I am loving them! I hope to finish my review this/ next week :) its from vanguard garage on instagram in hawaii!
You shouldnt use your surron as transport it should be your hobby and just for leisure. Using it regularly for transport would get you in trouble. Also kinda pointless a £1500 engwe engine pro 2.0 does 30mph on the throttle and ‘road legal’ if you leave it locked 👍🏻 I have two engwe’s and my second arrived yesterday, if I was going to use a bike for transport those would be my choice then the talaria and surron on the weekends to head out for a spirited ride in the trails! Even using road legal version with full license and documents you will be getting pulled over by police all the time!
If you haven't already bought one my advice would be get the talaria xxx I have both and and if I were to go back the only 2 reasons I would pick the lbx is because its a softer ride and the aftermarket is so diverse but other than that the xxx is a belt drive like the ron it comes with a 60v 40amp battery a higher top speed out of the box and the main reason I would pick a xxx over a ron is it comes in like 1000 pound cheaper so more power/torque longer battery less expensive and its a beast to wheelie
Yes ! Great bike! Ours are at 30kw 82v and 22kw 72v though so you’d need a controller, motor and another battery but line em up! think you have 12kw max for 10 seconds 💨 😜
Well i mean you are banned so legally not but you can do it illegally without a licence or insurance and keep your wits about you, but if you get caught you’ll have to own the consequences of a fine and maybe bike being taken !
Can you take the number plates off a Keeway EZi Mini electric moped which has a top speed of 28 MPH and ride it normally? Then you don't need to pay insurance, any Road Tax, CBT etc This Electric Moped doesn't look like a proper moped. I am just curious!
@seantuaima i would not use that as it looks like a moped too much! I have engwe engine pro 2.0 which is unrestricted to 30mph on flat with 1200w motor it looks more like a bike and folds into a small package. I have a discount code if you are interested engwe-bikes-uk.com/?ref=STINGYROGERR And code stingyrogerr gets 6% off at checkout! I have been riding it past two days making review and it is actually really impressed me!
In the UK when you purchase you have the option to get the offroad or road legal (L1E) version which comes from factory with indicators, lights and a logbook and 3 years MOT. It is legally registerable as a moped and insurance companies will insure from £200
@@stingyrogerr thanks for that. I currently have a e-trike and I'm just trying to find a limiter to stop it going faster than 28 mph on the road and have a switch to allow true freedom off road 🤣
Hey man! Its got an extended swing arm and also a 20mm rise on the forks, its probably 3/4 of an inch taller than stock :) the 19/16 wheels maybe make it look bigger than it is :)
Trespassing is a civil Matter but as soon as you become aggressive when the land owner asks you to leave it becomes aggravated trespass and is a criminal matter 👍
True although police don’t attend car thefts and robbery in the UK for hours after a call, unlikely for them to take tresspass from someone on an ebike seriously - but yes… i agree with you & you’d have to be stupid to become aggressive to someone when you’re using their land without permission - best thing to do at that point is leave as I said! Thanks for watching 👍🏻
trespass is a grey area because just by tresspassing you do not leave the land as you found it, you can be had for criminal damage you are much safer to get permission from landowners. BOATS,green lanes are unsurfaced highways so come under the law, bridlepaths and footpaths are no go...ive been a 4x4 drivers for many years it can be a nightmare!!..on a positive note tho, most farms have old gravel pits have a word with the farmer locally last time i checked farmers asked 100-150 for the day pay n play days for 4x4s so get a group together and have a full legit bash day could end up getting enough interest to form a club get the farmer involved and set the pit out properly....should be much easier as youre not howling round a pit in a straight piped V8 :)
The cops won't know this. You'll have nothing but grief from them. I used to drive a vintage vehicle and had to go to court twice to get impound fees reimbursed and would get pulled over all the time because the old bill simply don't know the law that applies to vintage cars.
Thanks Tom. You can see more including the cost in this video linked here, theres also links to where I got it in the description: th-cam.com/video/9hAI6Ukp7Qw/w-d-xo.html
Yes if you have the L1E road legal version and 3rd party insurance. You can ride one at 43 without any test or training 👍🏻 will be on an L plate though.
If you trespass on private land and ride a mechanically propelled vehicle you could fall foul of sect34 of the RTA 1988 as you do so without lawfull authority, that's why they say it's legal to ride on private land with the owners permission.
@@HoratioChinn police have never successfully prosecuted anyone who have done so on my land without permission when my family have caught them hare coursing in cars over crops so we gave up bothering
Road legal how do I do it? So I don't need cbt until after my first year, do I need a full driving licence for this? Tax is free so I just need insurance. Iv a off road setup 12kw 5T stealth bomber, with full light kit, how do I get number plate & how much?
With stealth bomber it’s completely different, you will need to take your cbt to qualify for riding on road and register it as a 125. You will need to go to the gov website and fill out the register an offroad vehicle form. With a surron/pitbike/enduro bike its easier. You will need a receipt and proof of tax paid on the bike :)
@stingyrogerr why is a receipt & proof of tax needed? I have no extra tax to pay, bill was tax & shipping combined. What's the 125 thing for on a bomber & not a suron bombers have pedals or does the motor have to be 8000kv maximum? So iv definitely got to do a cbt then? (If you passed before 1999 (about) idt you have to do cbt I have a medical hold full licence but I'm reapplying now
@ModModRc it goes by power regardless of pedals or pegs. And its proof that you purchased the bike new and the duty / vat has been paid on it. It will also need an inspection. Its really not as easy as it sounds! Here’s a link to the GOV website to see the requirements :) www.gov.uk/vehicle-approval/motorcycle-single-vehicle-approval You still have to do a cbt it goes by power output not motor max but actually if you say its 12kw it will be a full a2 license required. 11kw is the max for an a1 license. Good luck mate
@stingyrogerr kinda sad , never wanted something so bad , I still will try to save for a talaria x3 mx they look so beautiful, according to their website you don't need driver license , that's why I was confused
@AgosLive don’t let it put you off. Mine is not road legal and in 5 years of my surron ownership and 2 years with my talaria never had an issue. Having somewhere to store it is important. Cant be leaving it in a shed or outside. A secure garage or home is needed :)
@@YOUNGEL3 if you got your license after 2001 you need to pass a CBT before you can ride even a 50cc. You can find the rules here: www.gov.uk/motorcycle-cbt
@YOUNGEL3 you only need an mot if you have a 2019 or 2020 model as the first three years are exempt from MOT as you say 👍🏻 after this you need one every year!
@stingyrogerr I have a road legal one, I take to work, I want to upgrade it with new motor, new battery and, controller, but even with road legal, I get pulled over atleast once a week. So I'm scared
If you got caught on privately owned land then you should get a lawyer and get compensation. If you’re caught on the road, public spaces and believed to be made through proceeds of crime then yes they can. Lots of variables, for the lads who only wear balaclavas, no helmet then get caught with weed in their man bags & are known to the police previously that doesn’t surprise me !
@HRJL2005 I only ever had one on my bike never on my car! I dont know if they can be linked as they lead to vehicle seizure and If on separate vehicles that surely cant be justified!
@@stingyrogerr In what case can they be issued to a bike ? I have a non road registered Talaria MXXX, I do not necessarily ride on public land but curious.
Been around for 50+ years trespass as criminal offence just cant be passed because of the amount of footpaths through land in uk and grandfather rights. Cant be and won’t be plugged anytime soon. People been using this on their motocross bikes for decades :)
! think that a surron is to big of a motor to class . Moped. Continuous power up to 4kW. Max speed 28mph. yes it can be tuned down. power and speed . But i think when it's inspected they will say its too big. I'm not 100% on that.. So 125cc 11kw max. would be good to go. Every one that doesn't have a A1 A2 or A license would have to take a CBT first. this last 2 years. then you have to take it again or pass a A1 test. which then last life...
The L1E surron is designed to be road legal in the UK and comes with a log book. Its limited to 4kw and 28mph until you cut the green wire (bypasses restrictor). Not sure if you knew that… but yeah its a moped and rode on an L plate. When you cut the green wire then it becomes illegal to ride unless re registering it to a 125. Pointless to be honest when most people cut it straight away anyway! Thanks for watching man.
if you want to stay legal ride on the sidewalk/grass and go atleast slower than traffic unless its stopped/really slow. Ive passed a cop whilie i was wheelieing on the sidewalk before and he didnt care at all.
Fair point man! You gotta hope you have cool cops locally who have better things to be doing! Uk cops are pretty grumpy and due to drug dealers choosing 72v surron and talaria for their work transport we all get tarnished with same image and police have started ramming bikes to get the riders off🤯 stay safe out there man thanks for watching :)
Bro I hate the uk I only have a 48v 1000w ebike only does 38 mph and the police chase me everywhere for doing nothing litrally just riding my ebike and they try to ram us to and we’re only 15. Surely they can’t ram kids or are they aloud
Im not sure on that one but its annoying for you cos 38 is fast for a pedal bike but not fast enough to get away from a car! Stay safe man! Im sure if they rammed you and you injured yourself they would have issues in court keeping their job !
@TJvlogs123 don’t take your gas dirtbike on somebody elses field the sound will attract too much attention, this is for ebikes which can fly under the radar! The laws on antisocial behaviour will apply to you as you are making noise
Riding these bikes on someone's private property would cause damage to their property making it criminal trespass. If you're told by the landowner that you are trespassing and you don't leave they can use force to remove you, if you return it becomes aggravated trespass which is an offence. If you park across someone's drive it's classed as restricting access to the highway which is an offence.
This is all incorrect and only applies for the usa. This is completely incorrect for the uk. A relative of mine may or may not be high up in my area’s police force and deals with bikes a lot over the summer and hates the lack of legal avenues to prosecute the bikes if caught off-road. On the road is a different story. Criminal tresspass does not exist. If a landowner uses force to remove you this is completely illegal and will be classed as assault. If youre from the UK you will know about fox hunting - the anti hunts roll up every single time the horses and riders are out and block the paths of the farmers and hunters on their own land, police are called with no effect week in week out. If you park across somebodys driveway you are not restricting a highway as your driveway is not classed as as highway. Ive attached some links below for you to have a look. Im guessing you are american as none of these terms exist in UK law. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trespass_in_English_law#:~:text=Trespass%20in%20English%20(and%20Welsh,property%2C%20protected%20sites%2C%20etc. This one is the metropolitan police website on blocking someones driveway: www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/asb/asb/antisocial-behaviour/nuisance-parking/# As i mention in the video, trespass leading to loss of earnings is the only time a court case can ensue but is a lengthy process. Vandalism would mean purposeful destruction of property and some tire marks on a grass headland would be a bit impossible as they’re used by farmers quads and other heavy machinery so the ground there is already torn up and not legally classed as farmable land and any crops growing across the footpath would be an offence on their part. But thanks for watching. Plenty of laws people assume exist. Plenty of times a burglar or robber has injured themselves TRESPASSING on someone’s property and won court cases against the land owner.
@HRJL2005 i did mention council owned land in the video! Council owned land has its own rules where the council have ties to the local police so they will be able to issue section 59 anti social order on the bike and seize it until you pay the impound fee. Council/government land is risky, if its a car park (paved) sometimes it can even be classed as public highway (road)
@HRJL2005 you’re very unlikely to encounter any problems. With it being a green lane you will be surrounded by fields and green areas to head off into if you think someone coming towards you could bee trouble :)
As I said in the video, kinda gotta be smart about it but yes, On a public place of course destroying grass would be a silly and punishable thing to do. But farm headlands are literally made for farm quads, gators and tractors they’re usually churned up as hell not to mention the horses using them and sinking hooves into it. You make a good point. Kinda gotta look at where you are riding and adjust to it based on your area. For me in my area and being a land owner I couldn’t prosecute based on some tire marks. Police won’t come out for a car theft robbery no way they will come out because someone says their grass has a tire mark in it. But I agree. Don’t destroy land, stay out of trouble and be smart about where and how you ride. Thanks for watching Wayne :)
100% true about tresspass laws i ride over an old pit which the land is owned by a housing company and a solar panal company the police cant actually come onto the land unless the are called by the land owner dog walkers have tried to grass me up an police told them over the phone we havent had any complaints of the land owners im not breaking any law if anything the dog walkers are breaking the law

its an electric bike no clutch or gears, realistically you shouldnt need a license, you just need training to ride safely, on a high torque motor, and be over 18, the laws are there to stop idiots , but the laws are only stopping mature people, and idiots are still on the road, creating chaos, which are causing the law makers to make changes, to add more restrictions

Good question but pathed paths like the pavement- no. You can push legally along them though provided you are pushing it by hand and not under its own power. Paths in the forest if not a council owned forest you are fine as long as they are not public foot paths.

@@stingyrogerr I envy the people in the states they don't have any of this nonsense.
@@stingyrogerr Perfect, thanks a lot for the quick reply 😁

To register the bike is like 55£ with the dvla. You just gotta do a MSVA test first
As soon as you spin the wheel & commit damage it is aggravated trespass & you are committing a criminal offence.
Can I risw this with my full car license on the road? Any advice on any legal implications please?
Yes if you have the road legal version in the eu/uk with correct insurance and licensing. Then you will be riding legally
Well said ;) thanks for watching.
You can riide green lanes ie ancient byways you must wear a helmet motorcycles lce or electric with an appropiriate.license
Yes with MOT also 👍🏻👍🏻
I ride like the laws don't exist.
"I ride like the laws don't exist."
A. Twat.
If you damage crops or the ground with tyres track you can be charged with criminal damage not section 59 .
Big up stingy love the informational video
Thanks man appreciate it. Hope it helps :)
So when you're challenged on private land and leave, you have to ride on public roads right?
Best idea is to get a road legal version and insurance and remove the number plate.
Yes, although my green 72v surron was a road legal model and the extra wiring and harnesses did make it a bit awkward with certain modifications, wiring and space inside the frame!
But yes for most this is a good option 👍🏻🫡
Why remove the number plate ?
What’s the point if you’re going to remove the number plate? 😅
Road vehicles arent allowed offroad unless a dedicated green lane which are normally short and there arent many around. Any offroading with a road registered vehicle is more illegal than offroading with a non registered vehicle 🤣 weird I know. Less punishment if non road registered tho
So the only point is so that the road legal version cant be crushed as it’s registered?
Great video, very informative, what camera do you use ?
Sony a6700 with a sigma 18-50mm lense f2.8!
trespass is still illegal, as a private landowner can legally use the law of trespass against you (common law) but not criminal (generally)
Correct 👍🏻 the two only legal ways are any private land or on the road with correct documents and license ✅
The OG did actually say it’s illegal to ride on the road without the correct legal documents in place.
Uk laws make no sense!!
At nearly 50 always had bikes common sense tells me:
If you share a public space you should travel at a similar speed as other users.. simple and safer.
Footpath walking= speed.
Street= speed limit.
Pedal cyclist doing 5mph round blind corners on a 60mph road is as dangerous as 40mph on a footpath.
I'm waiting for my chat with PC plod on my talaria before the ok then catch me if you can situation happens caused by the daft uk rule book!!

Can you register it and make it legal in italy?
@@kevinperca1261 you can get a street legal version in italy comes legal out the box!
As someone looking into saving for a surron lbx, would you say it's better in that regard than any normal bike? I only do short journeys so
You shouldnt use your surron as transport it should be your hobby and just for leisure. Using it regularly for transport would get you in trouble. Also kinda pointless a £1500 engwe engine pro 2.0 does 30mph on the throttle and ‘road legal’ if you leave it locked 👍🏻
I have two engwe’s and my second arrived yesterday, if I was going to use a bike for transport those would be my choice then the talaria and surron on the weekends to head out for a spirited ride in the trails!
Got rfn pro I’m smoking surron and talaria 💨
Yes ! Great bike! Ours are at 30kw 82v and 22kw 72v though so you’d need a controller, motor and another battery but line em up! think you have 12kw max for 10 seconds 💨 😜
Can a drink and drive banned person use this in the road?
Well i mean you are banned so legally not but you can do it illegally without a licence or insurance and keep your wits about you, but if you get caught you’ll have to own the consequences of a fine and maybe bike being taken !
Is it a talaria factory fork Drop crown you have being made? Are they going to be for sale on the wgt website?

So how can I register it to be road legal? What insurance companies will take on the bikes?
In the UK when you purchase you have the option to get the offroad or road legal (L1E) version which comes from factory with indicators, lights and a logbook and 3 years MOT. It is legally registerable as a moped and insurance companies will insure from £200

Yes that is 100% legal. Walking the bike on the pavement is what you have to do :)
Trespassing is a civil
Matter but as soon as you become aggressive when the land owner asks you to leave it becomes aggravated trespass and is a criminal matter 👍

(If you passed before 1999 (about) idt you have to do cbt
I have a medical hold full licence but I'm reapplying now
@ModModRc it goes by power regardless of pedals or pegs. And its proof that you purchased the bike new and the duty / vat has been paid on it. It will also need an inspection. Its really not as easy as it sounds!
Here’s a link to the GOV website to see the requirements :)
www.gov.uk/vehicle-approval/motorcycle-single-vehicle-approval
You still have to do a cbt it goes by power output not motor max but actually if you say its 12kw it will be a full a2 license required. 11kw is the max for an a1 license.
Good luck mate
@stingyrogerr bit dumb of them saying 11kw. Iv heard of someone with the right speed controller getting 60+ from a 8kw
@ModModRc the rules were created for internal combustion engines so i guess thats why we can get more speed as we have much more torque!

But i think when it's inspected they will say its too big. I'm not 100% on that.. So 125cc 11kw max. would be good to go.

This one is the metropolitan police website on blocking someones driveway:
www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/asb/asb/antisocial-behaviour/nuisance-parking/#
As i mention in the video, trespass leading to loss of earnings is the only time a court case can ensue but is a lengthy process.
@@stingyrogerr Are these rules different to riding on council owned land ?
@HRJL2005 i did mention council owned land in the video! Council owned land has its own rules where the council have ties to the local police so they will be able to issue section 59 anti social order on the bike and seize it until you pay the impound fee. Council/government land is risky, if its a car park (paved) sometimes it can even be classed as public highway (road)
@@stingyrogerr Thanks. How risky is riding on green lanes without proper documentation ?
@HRJL2005 you’re very unlikely to encounter any problems. With it being a green lane you will be surrounded by fields and green areas to head off into if you think someone coming towards you could bee trouble :)
The law changes soon as u start damaging the grass you can be arrested for criminal damage its how they get round the trespass law

@@stingyrogerr just off astley lane near the cow lees care home some decent little woods there technical track inside an then all the feilds around are ridable pretty good worth a visit on the e bikes
Moral of the story... Don't stop for the police
Yep! Or this..
its an electric bike no clutch or gears, realistically you shouldnt need a license, you just need training to ride safely, on a high torque motor, and be over 18, the laws are there to stop idiots , but the laws are only stopping mature people, and idiots are still on the road, creating chaos, which are causing the law makers to make changes, to add more restrictions
Sham the lads where I live don't have your common sense riding these bikes around where I live down cycle tracks foot paths and shopping centres weaving in and out of pedestrians at speeds of 30miles and hour doing Wheelies going past pedestrians in the shopping centre
Yeah that spoils it for the rest of us. Seems like theres 2 types of riders on these bikes. The more offroad and respectful motocross/ mountainbike background riders then the tracksuit lads who have no common sense and love terrorising police and local spaces
Good luck trying to get insurance for an e-motorcycle thats not a mainstream bike. if kawasaki or yamaha built it then you may get it, but anything you have adapted to make road legal is diy and you wont stand a chance.
My surron is road legal and £200 p/a for insurance. you can find insurance on comparison sites as these bikes come with a logbook and registration out the box, they are legit ‘mopeds’ aknowledged by the UK government. Although due to the number of thefts and such insurance is increasing. The area you live in and the statistics for crime and accidents makws a large difference. I have had insurance no problem on my other surron since 2020
@@stingyrogerr well my diy build is road ready, drove it in a van to the ministry test centre 45 minutes later it passed and then sent that paperwork off to get a licence plate but cant get insurance....
@lezbriddon yeah they really only want to insure vehicles that come with v5’s and are known and recognised as a new mass produced vehicle
@@stingyrogerr i have the v5 ! But the DVLA also screwed me over and wouldn't give me a 24 plate as they said eBay receipts and bank statements where not proof of newness on the parts so I couldn't prove it was built in 24 and so could only have a Q registration. I even contacted and asked all my sellers to clarify if the parts where new and unused, even the frame seller in china replied and I sent all those emails back to DVLA who said nope can't accept that! Seriously any jury in the land would but not DVLA!
Its primary power is a motor.
No peddles.
Not gonna watch.
If I’m gonna risk that I have an old kx 200 Racine engine in a road registered 125 bike. Not gonna say it.
Other places better than others n by lots at times.
Check it.
Lol
Do you realyse Police are the gatekeeper to a free life 😢
The M6 toll road is privately owned 😂😂
The M6 tollroad is owned by the government with a PFI type Contract where a company have been given a contract to run it and collect toll revenue.
The contract allows the builders and funders to simply collect tolls for 100 years from contract start before its profits are reverted back to the government.
So no. The M6 isn’t privately owned. 🤣🤷♂️ the government own it and a private company run it. Thats like saying the NHS is a private company. Funded and managed by VS. Ownership is different 👍🏻
Thanks for watching.
@@stingyrogerr Fair enough. Thanks for the correction.
Can’t reccomend riding on the m6 tbh. Good point tho. 💪🏼🫡
It’s you gods right to travel it’s still common law look it up
Im not sure that applies on ebikes/bikes
Can you drive on paths
Good question but pathed paths like the pavement- no. You can push legally along them though provided you are pushing it by hand and not under its own power.
Paths in the forest if not a council owned forest you are fine as long as they are not public foot paths.
@@stingyrogerr thanks bro
🎉
Theses surron are common now I was hit by one last year didn't even hear the thing. I was on a peddle assisted electric bike onthe road, one of theses things shot past me hitting my left elbow causing me to come off my bike. He rode off year later still off work elbows shot can't move my left arm. Theses kids on surrons have ruined my life
Sorry to hear that. What an idiot riding so fast and so close to other people. Sorry to hear about your experience with reckless riders.
@stingyrogerr not your fault brother theses things look like fun. But so dangerous in the wrong hands. And ruines it for responsible riders like yourself. This kid was doing like 50 mph on that thing and his handle bars smashed right into my left ebb was like being hit with a slegde hammer. Moters insurers buro looking into see if u have a claim. Just sucks that idiot can't go fishing living off sick pay noidea what's even gonna happen about my elbow. May need elbow replacement surgery. I'm so.glad ur respinsable. Was incredible how fast he was going in such a short space
Anyone else see the bike and hope he would ride it?
Plenty of other riding videos on the channel man! This was just a talking video but my other 50+ are riding! Thanks for watching!
@@stingyrogerr il check them my bro but be careful on them things! I rode my 60mph hyper scooter in to a car at 42mph hence why your off road i get it lol but my left leg full of metal 😅 them things are fun but deadly, would love to get back in to motocross again but can't risk it :( be safe brother!
@youmrshot oh no way! Sorry to hear that man! Im currently pushing 26kw right now which feels insane! Thanks for watching and commenting tho appreciate it!
@@stingyrogerr yeah thats insane bro! Always gear up stay safe! And I'm okay brother never felt more alive
If they take ur bike sue/charge them for theft only reason they can take your car is because it doesn't belong to you youre the registered keeper not owner. Never register ur E-bike.
Also ,if you look for an old ,pre 2015 e bike -e ped the curent ebike legislation does not apply!, ie you need not be restricted to 15-18mph and so long as you display voltage and year of manufacture and estimated power output you can actualy technicaly legaly ride one eithout a helmet or insurence and technicaly as long as you are over 14yrs old can go upto and around 30 mph !, you will get pulled and reported by nossey cranky leftists and people that believe your on a moped but dont let this put you of ,it gratifying to get pulled by police ,and then pount out to them that its perfectly legal!, they hate it wen they radio through and ask ther senior's, and have to let you go! 😅😅

No face, no case 😂
Best thing is not to be a complete cockwomble balaclava up dealing and stealing why there such a crackdown on them I'm getting a 250cc quad and road register it I got a full licence and tax is £20 year insurance is £150 and no MOT for 3 years and if someone parks on ur drive no not illegal but u can call a tow company and fit car owner with the bill
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You don't need any paperwork you are free to travel, only need a licence to drive a vehicle for employment,
That's right, its private property until it's registered as a vehicle for commercial use.
Not in the UK but yeah in other countries this could be true 👍🏻 thanks for watching
@@stingyrogerr yea in the UK, public roads for public people, you have the right to travel uninterrupted across the country, only need a driving licence such things as delivering taxi etc otherwise free to travel that is the difference between driving and travelling you don't need a driving licence for a horse
@kerrytaylor4193 oh right. 👍🏻
I wouldn’t bet on any loop hole
Hi Philip, that’s why there is a question mark after it in the title 👍🏻
