- The Cockerill® i-X is born from the merger of the technological excellence of weapon systems and the expertise of rally raid performance, the Cockerill® i-X represent a break with traditional concepts and imposes a new paradigm of military land operations.
The vehicle is capable of moving at very high speeds on-road and off-road (with a thermal or hybrid thermal-electric drive train), light, stealthy (appearance management with adaptive camouflage, and modification of IR and acoustic signature), integrating multi sensor data fusion technology (Smart Helmet, on-board intelligence AI, cameras, sensors : LWS, Acoustic Gunshot detection and localization) and capable of integrating a suite of effective weapons (such as 25mm, 30mm, Missiles, Rockets,…) depending on the threat to be neutralized, as well as to foresee the integration of a new generation of effectors.

Visibility is bit of an issue, would like to see more screens, cameras. Not sure what the helmet can do so. But for hit and run think it has good potential.

I feel the ideal place for a vehicle like this, would be a presidential motorcade.
Looks pretty sexy (in the military realm) but when you really think about it there are vey very few situations where this is either not too light or not too heavy, not too lightly equipped or not too heavily equiped. Who are you gonna shoot at in urban warfare where your speed doesn't count and people are hiding with rocket launchers ? What are you goona shoot at w 25mm during border patrol ? Who are you gonna resist against during border crossing/invasion ? What all terrain are you going to drive on in urkaine style tank battle field ? What special forces are you gonna accomodate in your crew of 2 interior space ?

The turret cover rattles and shakes when the gun fires, showing that it is flimsy and useless. It also makes the other protective components questionable.

nothing beats a toyota helix in cost and efficiency, even if its somewhat armored it wont go 200km with that small engine bay it has. Is there any test evidence it goes 200km while waiting somewhat about 3 tons ?

It's indescribable to me how out of touch these military vehicle manufacturers' are, fancy rather than functional seems to be the trend, Oshkosh are the only manufacturers' I've really been impressed with in their JLTV.
It's meant to be an interceptor... it's twice as fast as an Oshkosh M-ATV for example.

What is standard lvl 2 armor. Us b4 is low and body armor lvl 3 is soft armor for up to 44 magnum small arms. Lvl 2 nij is 9mm and 357 mag. If that is standard lvl 2 armor than those panels should be made of kevlar and make the vehicle lighter.

Take a flatbed F-350/450 with an armored cab. Then make as many different mission modules that fit on the back for whatever mission you need. It would be much cheaper, and probably more effective.

F350 already been tested as armor car and fail spectaculary so any american build is just unqualify in the battle field
