    loved this - thanks for the great content. Phil's a good podcast guest. The guy can talk lol. and by the way you're a phenomenal host because you are great at interviewing people. Pardon the pun but you're a 'natural' at asking probing questions.

    I first heard of Phil on fouads podcast, and I was kinda blown away after hearing him talk, some of it makes total logical sense, yet u hear other ppl saying conflicting things and it can confuse u and not go with your gut instinct, like on meal timing/ digestion for example, Phil really knows his stuff

    So how do we minimize the impact of lifting weights so our waist doesn’t increase? Because eventually for your leg movements you will have to use those heavier weights? So does that mean you inevitably will have your waist size increased? Thanks for all the podcast you tho btw Seb

    • @sebastianburka
      @sebastianburka  ปีที่แล้ว +34

      Because I don’t want people with short attention spans jumping around to try to cherry pick information without listening to the entire thing in order to fully understand. That’s how misinformation gets regurgitated & people go around saying “he said this or that”, taking things entirely out of context. That can stay on TikTok with the short form content. Time stamps give people a reason to not fully listen. If you watch the full episode feel free to note time stamps that you can go back to if you want to revisit certain segments later on!

      I couldn’t train or really do anything due to the autoimmune issue & my time with him was up so there was no reason to continue. But I’ve had a good relationship with Phil for quite some time, he has offered help to me numerous times & has always been extremely supportive so getting back into everything we were just talking a lot & I decided it would be best to work with him moving forward.

    My favorite take aways- you can continue growing into a caloric surplus and develop into that of a good composition, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
    Pay attention to what foods mess with your stomach
    Bodybuilding is a sport, posing showing off etc is the fun part while training is the skill and practice along with nutrition

    You guys say that you dont like people who treat the literature as the be all end all, who talk down to non science guys, who dismiss any ideas not backed by research. And you say you like people who come up with their own ideas based on scientific mechanisms, and who recognize flaws and gaps in literature. But you guys also like Paul, who goes against both these things, and you guys seem to dislike Kas, who matches what you guys say you like. I don’t get that
