Boss battle difficulty spikes were ridiculous. The game also didnt give much in terms of enemies so you power level. One of the first RPG,s I,ve played that felt like work.
Man, I missed out on this game and would love to play it, but they sure refuse to remaster it along with blue dragon(hope I got the name of that game right.) also Seth swinging around that gigantic sword with a single hand is very funny and cool

The game is only difficult in the early game when you don't have enough skills and MP yet. After having enough skills, the game is quite easy, especially with the Immortals. They're broken. With the mechanics of the game, it forces players to use Immortals no matter what. So just stick with the Immortals and the remaining prefered Mortal.
How you pronounce things doesn't matter much. For one, I am an insufferable pedant that insists that the villain of FFVII be pronounced Sef-i-Rote. That's right suckers, that's actually how you pronounce it. lol. But really, it doesn't matter much in the end. Heck, I've even seen game voice acting mispronounce the names of their own characters for crying out loud. lol.
I like more party members though if the battle systems cumbersome, then I'll take less. FF9 and Golden Sun with four party members felt right. I don't like auto battle options because it makes it feel cheap.

I agree that personality-wise, Janssen is the best character by far. Not so great in battle though except for his funny battle quotes. 😄
